i get it selling game of thrones season by season. but there is no reason why i shouldn't be able to buy an entire TV run of a 20 year old show in one box for $40 or so
time warner doesn't have a bandwidth cap, at least not in NYC for most plans
the problem is bandwidth. blu ray is 30mbps. real 4K will probably be around 100mbps. why would i pay all this money to time warner every month when its cheaper to buy movies on optical discs?
i mean all the problems that nvidia has had with them over the years have all been solved
i'm not an expert, but over the years i've read enough to know that you can't just switch to a new fab at a whim. they all use slightly different methods to make CPU's and these are also dependent on the tools you use to design the chip. A few years back AMD had the same problems for months or years because some chip they designed wasn't compatible with the process at the Global Foundries or wherever they tried to make it
over the years nvidia and AMD both have had lots of products delayed while TSMC worked out their problems. you can build all the fabs you want, but you need people with experience to work out the kinks in the production process to get the yields to make money
tim cook can show off all the iphones he wants, but unless apple can make over 100 million of them every 12 months, its just a show
no, its just that this guy thinks that its OK for Google to spy on everyone without their consent and collect more data than the NSA can dream of having, but yet the NSA is evile
how is this different than buying all the books that a current student uses?
NYC school system licenses some online content that can be accessed via computer or ipad app for kids to catch up on skills at home. my son does a few units every day so that he doesn't forget what he learned last year. LA is just making sure every kid has access to it
For those of us not living in Molly's basement and paying for electricity, Netflix is cheaper than the power to keep your computer running 24x7 as well as the higher bandwidth costs
one time years ago my wife wanted to go eat at some place in NYC that cost $600 for dinner for two people after taxes, tip and whatever. i tried making reservations, but the place was booked solid for months in advance and we forgot about it after a while
yeah, because in the old days the games were really months late because they loved to make sure it was perfect. and not as a marketing stunt to hype the game for months
my iphone will connect to my car's USB, i can stream pandora or spotify through the car's stereo and google maps or apple maps will cut into the music and announce the next turn
connect your android phone to the USB in your car and try to play pandora or spotify. i can do it with my iphone, but with my android phones i can only play songs off the internal flash or SD card
sony doesn't even own the largest share of blu ray patents
over 300 companies in that patent pool
at a reasonable price

lots of people have blu ray players
unless you're a complete slob, blu rays don't scratch. and if they do its so minor that they will still play
Apple has $146 BILLION in cash as of last quarter. those numbers are old
$100 billion of it is outside the USA
or he has a contract and they put him into a room with an xbox until the contract expires

But what if one model predicts the end of the world due to higher temps and another one says the earth will absorb the heat
Which one do you trust?
no, its just that this guy thinks that its OK for Google to spy on everyone without their consent and collect more data than the NSA can dream of having, but yet the NSA is evile
The stuff they pay for is better than khan. And khan is lite on first grade level math
when i was in school if you don't give back your books you don't go to the next grade and don't graduate. until you pay for them.
but just imagine how much money they will save if the kids just wrote their own tests?
the price includes a lot of online course content for the kids
teachers are being commoditized into the role of babysitters and the real work is done by pearson and others
how is this different than buying all the books that a current student uses?

that's the only thing i can see using it for if i didn't have an apple tv and a Mac
if you don't pay for cable you can stream live sports to your TV now instead of watching it on a computer
what unmet need? they are fully booked.

i have maybe 5GB worth of documents that i save to dropbox on a regular basis
Nokia was first working on bluetooth in the late 1990's. how quaint
bluetooth would have cost me $2000
i know someone with a Lexus RX and galaxy s3. and getting it to play music over bluetooth was such a PITA, not worth the trouble
my iphone will connect to my car's USB, i can stream pandora or spotify through the car's stereo and google maps or apple maps will cut into the music and announce the next turn

how much is that in real dollars? $10? $15?
and risking to damage a computer that costs over $1000
