    Yea wonderful Ireland where up until the 1970's they put children in unpaid labor camps if they thought their familes couldn't care for them, where they were then sexually abused by catholic priests.

    Europe is NOT a free place. Those trying to pass it off as being so are self deluded. You have no rights in Europe if you think you do get arrested. The Germans need to STFU up since the crimes they commited 55 years ago are not yet attoned for. The 55 years of democracy forced on them by the victors of WW2 is pretty thin. You never see the screaming German extremist on TV.

    Anyone who thinks the US is less free hasn't been paying attention. All the shit that is suppposedly going on now has always gone on. Oh it's different when Democrats do it than when Republicans do. I forgot this is /. you get to ignore all the infringements the left has made or wants to make on personal freedom they get a free pass.

    I you read the article you will see this is not a big deal. The purchase of WYSE terminals is dumb and wasteful since these very systems they are replacing will run just as well as thin clinets. They are keeping a pile of NT servers and are thinking of adding more W3K servers plus a hug number of existign MS desktops. Lots on fire and little heat. But it says "Linux" at least. They might save some money but will likeky not and then just will bag on Linux when the project fails.

    Move along nothing to see here.

    I am better. I have no doubt that at $5000 a pop for the Segway this is the act of assholes, who by the way took longer than many people who have run up Mt Washington on their own 2 feet. Maybe they will do it in winter when the wind at the top can gust up to 200 Mph. Until then it is a joke just like teh parent. As everyone knows there is a road up there you could drive on.

    L. Long had a natural ability to always land on his feet. He also advised as I do to keep a blaster or needle gun of some type upon your person to make sure in all situations you are at least at parity if not more than equal to others who may be more than intent on screwing you. Good advice.

    India and Pakistan have huge religous and nationalist frictions.
    Bombings in India are caused buy supposed muslims supported by Pakistan is the claim of the Hindu nationalist government. One thing Business likes is stability. When bombs are going off in Mumbai (Bombay) and Indian and Pakistan are nuclear nations with dilivery systems this is not a stable situation. Just how much is actually going to go off shore there? Sending Jobs to Canada and China maybe. India is about saturated and these companies are risk adverse. Indians may be very smart and well educated but they seem to have the national instinct of Lemmings in relationship to their dealings with a close nuclear neighbior/ex fellow counrty men.

    Another clueless lament by blocklist worshipers decrying the "obvious attack by spammers." To yet another blocklist.

    Please allow users to decide what is spam and what is not. I can take care of my own email filtering and spam filtering.

    If you claim I am a spammer because you disagree with me you better be able to prove it. You can't I am not.

    Guess what we have never had a virus yet. Go figure. This includes my 85 year old mother "who forgets to double click sometimes."

    Yes the internet can suck but I don't think I would want to go back to 300 baud dial up either.
