This is to make sure that you always have at least $1200 no matter what you do. So if you actually earn already more than $1200, there is no change for you. That means, that you would most likely not get any extra under universal income. Heck, most people will not receive more money

The very first screenshot contains a window of "Unetbootin" in Russian and a version of Remix OS USB Tool in English. That makes is very difficult to compare the applications, which is a means to support the authors thesis. Unfortunately, such an article can only have the opposite effect of advertising for Remix OS.
I hope somebody will have a calm look at this and make a write up which is credible. If Remix OS is in violation of the GPL license, I hope that there will be consequences to their actions. At the very least I would expect them to release the source code
While I believe that there might be some people who had no "morally" dubious intents, I fail to see why anyone with a traditional moral compass would sign up for this website.
Even if you are not married and simply looking for a one nighter, you are still signing up to site where married people are looking for an affair. It is right on their main landing page: "Life is too short, Have an affair". While it sucks for them, I feel it difficult to feel pity for them when signing up to a website which main intend is to make is to make it easy for people to cheat.
The other people could have simply signed up for a different website where the main intent is not cheating. It seems there would be plenty, and none of them are getting hacked

They should just remove CTRL + C and CTRL + V as well while they are at it. Not only is it not very discoverable, but it also requires you to use the keyboard. Drag and Drop is so much better and obviously the correct way to do copy paste.

1) The post man can read your mail without you noticing (e.g. the envelope is never damaged) 2) You have to provide your postman with a key to open your locker? The key might additionally fit into your other lockers (e.g. A lot of people reuse their passwords) 3) The postman can easily store copies of all the letters you receive without you knowing 4) The postman travels from your local post office, to a completely different country, where the correspondence may be inspected by the other government at will without you even knowing and then gives you the letter.
Once you consider these points, you might not like that approach unless you completely trust your postman.

So if the character is in a cold environment, you should be freezing. They dont charge you for online play (Looking at you M$), they dont charge you for additional storage by selling you some proprietary hdd. They dont remove features after the sale ( install other OS??) and they dont go in rage mode and start suing their customers. They also did not have any security breaches...
For me it is quite clear, if there will be a game which comes to all consoles, Ill be getting the Wii U version (unless there is a PC version ofc)
I love my linux world. The only part which I would appreciate is more polish in the software. Most software has a great set of features but it seems that all these suites are always missing the last 5% of development (e.g. making the application feel very polished).
To me it seems that the only way we can fix the desktop is to throw money at it. The last 5% of development work is usually boring (finding and fixing all the corner cases, etc...). I think that the only true consumer ready desktop right now is Ubuntu (yes, with the Unity interface). It has become a very polished and stable package with a lot of focus (maybe a bit too much?) on the right things. Don't get me wrong, I am a huge KDE fan (I contributed code), but to me it seems that it is missing the last 5% of development work (e.g. Kwin crashes occasionally, the panel wont stick to the top and will sometimes be in the center of the screen, Kwin seems to be slower than compiz...).
Canonical has the resources to provide a really solid desktop experience (and it already does) for most average users. For the rest of us, there is still Arch, Mint, Fedora, etc which allows for more customization. The problem is, that most people want their machine to just "work" and not tinker with the OS to just get it perfect.
In short, the moral of the tale is that you are an idiot. Just because he was having a camera, does not mean he is recording anything. Next you will want to assault anyone talking on a smartphone. After all it also has camera and he might be just faking the conversation.
(And I don't for a moment buy the argument that the digital glasses aren't recording equipment. Exhibit A, the still photos on the chap's web page.)

This would have been easily circumvented by wiping the current access token key which was used to stay logged in.
If they had done it, everyone would have to sign in again (a minor inconvenience) but the passwords would have been safe

The difference is that these are shared libraries. They live in shared memory and are only loaded once for each application which is using them.
In the web, each library is loaded every time.

I set gitlab up at home. It is very good, but a maintenance nightmare. No automated installation or updates, so i keep running on an old version.
It would be a 3A solution if they offered a ppa with automatic updates
