I'm curious. How does the OSX Beta compare with other graphically-rich Unix flavors (specifically Irix)? I want the opinion of Unix users (not necessarily LinuxPPC folks like myself).
If the FEC has a monopoly on the debates, cannot the DOJ apply anti-trust laws on them? The two major parties will have to split into several disperate parties, stop making corporate deals to block out smaller parties, control over the startup desktop (er, I mean, ballot) will have to be loosened, and the debates (or at least the first few) would be open to anyone on the ballot in all 50 states (7 candidates this year).
The idea of a Nader presidency scares the crap out of me, but it seems that voting for him is the only way to shock people into rethinking the nature of our two party system.
P.S. All my life, I've heard that this generation is apathetic. From boards like this, you can tell that we care deeply about certain things. We're just too lazy to vote. I can guarantee you this: more than half of the people bitching and moaning about the options this year will never bother to register.
Wow, consumers of games are - on the whole, rather dim. But so is the argument that your grandfather used on you when you played with your Star Wars gear when you were a kid.
"Back in my day, you needed imagination to have fun." We now see the Old Man in Old Man Murray, going for the easy old school gripe (and updating three times per decade).
If you want adventure games get "Pyramid" for the TRS-80 model 1 - and something called "YoHo" (which had nothing to do with managing a stable of Hos as I later found out).
Ha! It's fun to search multimedia.lycos.com for "adventure" and post them on your site. Who needs photo research?

Suck's formula has been obvious for about a year now. Since they lost some of their better writers, they have been sticking to what works for them: pick a demographic you want to attract to the site and lambast them- the group's own media will cover it and presto instant publicity.
According to the Suck.com essay template: That car crash I was in two years ago was the best thing for me. It taught me a lesson, it did. And getting beaten up every day in eighth grade- character building.
When suck goes under, we'll say that it was good for them and the cause of open-source internet humor.
They say that the time to go to college is in a recession, not a boom. But since the only way to know when a recession hits is when you're out of a job- wouldn't that be too late to have a well-rounded range of experience?
Since my machine is not uber enough to run it, I need to take your word for it.
I just hope Apple doesn't sue me for asking.
That includes the much-delayed space station modules, folks.
