    In my not so humble opinion, we should go back to basics. Or, at least, teach them:

    - Assembler, with cycle counting and all that gnarly stuff.

    - C, with emphasis on pointers and structures.

    If you don't agree with me, then go stuff yourself sideways up the wazoo of a 3GHz P4 and stop running any OS - because that is what it is written in.

    I once fell asleep, in the front row, at an 8:00 AM Calculus class back in University - and snored.

    The other memorable moment from those days was the tall blonde that used to sit right beside me. And place her leg against mine - all the time. Only if I knew know back then... :(
