Don Bluth originally planned to release Dragons Lair as a movie, but then changed his mind and decided to make a game out of it, so a "Remastered"version isn't such a bad name.
don't ask me where I got this wisdom, I read it somewhere when the game was just eleased originally.
I used to work for a european university. We had quite an impressive standing in europe, but were nowhere near the top of the list woldwide, which is dominated by US universities. This was a non-US list based on the opinion of academic peers. The list of most funded universities is almost exclusively US and UK universities.
So, as much as I hate chaufinism (either US or otherwise), this is not it but just a basic truth.
Want to know how to treat Microsoft? Watch "Supernanny"! The only problem is (as in the show) that providing immidiate feedback will not only correct the behaviour, it will cause you lots of pain as well. Just watch those parrents.
So, what do you do? You can excert any power you have, wait for someone else (hint: they will not come to your aid on their own account) or put up with the inconvinience. again: watch supernanny and see what happens when you put up with this kind of behaviour for to long.
I still think that the police being able to demand encryption keys is not such a problem, but you propose a beautifull defence that renders the law useless unless it is proven (f.i. by testamony from others) that there is in fact encrypted data and that the accused has the key)
So: we agree on the feasability of the law (I think), but I still will not lay awake at night over this.
Police can search and if they find a closed safe they can demand you open it so they can review whatever is in there. If you don't comply they either open the safe or put you in jail. If you are f.i. a journalist and you have a undisclosed source police can demand you name the source. If you don't comply they can put you in jail untill you decide to do so Police can search and if they find an encrypted file or disk they can demand you decrypt it so they can review whatever is in there. If you don't comply they put you in jail.
IAOTSOAL (I am only the son of a lawyer), but at least in the dutch system they can do 1. and 2., so 3. doesn't seem so unreasonable. It is called differntly in case 2. ("gijzeling", litterary "taking hostage", I don't know the correct english legal term) but basicly they put you in the stocades untill you crack.
They don't want the keys - they want the power to bang you up without having to do the work of proving you guilty of something real.
They don't want your keys - they want the power to get to all material that might incriminate you (or prove your innocense). Because gathering evidence is their job. If they have a search warrant, you have to give them acces to your house, office, confidential files etc also. This is just the electronic equivalent of that.

Another reason is that gasprices in the US are incredibly low from a european point of view, mostly due to taxes. Biofuel would be less likely te be as heavily taxed over here, making it cheaper at the gas station.
Since 9 out of 10 only has one significant digit and 90% has two, you have just implied 10x the original accuracy. The difference between 9*10^-1 and 9.0*10^-1 is that 9*10^-1 ranges from 8.5*10^-1 to 9.4/9/*10^-1 and 9.0*10^-1 ranges from 8.95*10^-1 to 9.04/9/*10^-1 (.4/9/ denoting.49999999999 -> ad inf).
range (1.15*10^-1 to 1,24/9/*10^-1) + range (8.5*10^-1 to 9.4/9/*10^-1) can definately include 1./0/

Great,
I make one spelling mistake, and... it has to be a word that is spelled the same way in my language so I can't even blame my english...

Whoever modded this flamebait must not be very familiar with the german toplevel domain. It has at least some funny parts in it...
Damn, you're right

...which means profit.
Where's the ????
Maybe they can hire someone who has to do community service anyway. Then they don't have to do it twice.
Efficiency is God. I think I'll be a management consultant. Maybe Dogbert has a vacancy. I'll go and buy a slab of liver.
Very true.

the difference between its and it's is only punctuation, just like Nazis and Nazi's
the editor seems to uphold the same principles as you do. He just didn't include the footnote.
You play the guitar on the MTV
True, that song is several decades old...
So, what's the friend for?
come on, most people here have 2 or more computers...
OK, I can accept not being Funny(+1), but hey I tried
Modding me Interesting(+1) is really a harsh attack on an attempt to humor...

It has probably be noted before, but now that I see Duke Nuke'em Forever abrieviated, it occurs to me for the first time:
In sports results, "DNF" means "did not finish". Coincidence? I think not.
(if this is a well known fact, i'll rephrase that to "coincidence? I don't think")

At least someone playing the trombone should be familiar with the concepts "towards" and "away from"
Which, to some people, would sound interesting :-)
composites are made from aluminium and glassfiber, not? I see some possibilities there. Lets make the plane itself its own fiberoptics :-)

This is the same Georgia Tech thing

I use a dedicated (silent) download computer in my network for filesharing/bittorrent. It has no screen at all.
Thanks WB, for having me play it only on that one. I think I'll pass.
