This is a pity. AppleWorks was the best Works/Office tool I've ever used. The main advantage it has is that all components can be mixed and matched easily. Want a spreadsheet in your word document? Just create one and have the full power of the spreadsheet tool inside your text document. No slow OLE (or whatever it is called right now) stuff. No missing features.
It's just a great application. Too bad that Apple killed it, although the writing has been on the wall for years.
Same here. I used to do the homework for all of my pals back when we had to draw these 3D objects given two side views. But when doing military service as a driver, I constantly arrived late at the target because I got lost:-)
Maybe you're right. Another reason for posting anonymously when heaping on the Unreal Engine might be that those people who work for companies that are having development issues with the Engine don't want to identify themselves for obvious reasons.
There is nothing "benevolent" in Cuba. You can't bring books in Cuba, the population can't talk to you about politics, people can't go from one place to another without a lengthy authorization process, the hospitals are shitty (mind you not the one for tourists) and you get a bowl of rice a day. Hurray.
Huh. Dude, I've been to Cuba two months ago. Not only did I bring books into the country, I also talked with lots of people about politics. While most Cubans acknowledge the huge issues that Cuba faces, they were all proud of their hospitals (in fact, the medical system in Cuba does indeed appear to be superb, especially compared to other latin-american countries). We travelled to poorer parts of the country, too, and while we've seen some terribly poor people, nobody had to survive on "a bowl of rice a day."
I don't want to defend Cuba. It's an oppressive dictatorship, and I would never want to live there, but really... Making up shit does not help your point.
Just because you got (number of iPhone features) + n does not mean your phone is an improvement upon the iPhone. You're missing what makes the iPhone attractive: The fact that it is a pleasure to use.
Obviously, this helps Nintendo the most, as there's no GTA for the Wii.
Microsoft should care about GTA since, even though it's a multiplatform title, the downloadable content will be Xbox exclusive, and thus GTA should help Xbox sales more than it should help PS3 sales.
Sony also has a bunch of good games coming out for the PS3 before the end of the year.
For example, in every review of Ridge Racer games these days, reviewers are constantly belaboring the point that the car physics aren't realistic enough. That's why people buy Ridge Racer, ya shmucks
I buy a new Ridge Racer (the recent versions I own are the DS version, the first PSP version, and the PS3 version) from time to time, and I wish they'd fix the stupid "I'm on rails and can drift around a corner backwards while doing a 360" crap.
Ironically, the Wii Sports game have more depth than most other sports games I've ever played. What other boxing game has such precise controls and so many different moves? What other Tennis game lets you slice the ball so precisely?
The Wii has more First Person Shooters than Minigames compilations.
Dude, if you consider yourself a hardcore gamer, but think that Warioware has "poor gameplay" (with gameplay in quotes, I might add), you're unfortunately a sad little fanboy.
I think the issue was that the Cube was a better, cheaper version of the PS2. If your choice is "a bit better and a bit cheaper" or "recognizable brand name, huge selection of names, and everyone will make games for this thing," then most people seem to go for the second option. Also, the PS2 may cost a bit more, but it plays DVD; and most people actually thought the PS2 had better graphics than the "kiddie" Cube.
"Sony stated after the first month the PS2 was sold at a profit"
Huh. I tried to google for a story about this, but found none. I don't think it's true. Do you have any sources? And please, no third-party teardowns. They're always full of shit.
Sure there are ways to do almost everything in context menus in some other way, but i like all my commands in the reach of one hand.
See, and that "almost" is precisely the (usability) problem. The system should force developers to only use context menu as shortcuts, and never use them as the only way to access a feature. Single-button-mice do exactly that.
Funny, when I plugged mine in it acted like a four button mouse with a scroll nub. Maybe I have a different kind of Mac.
There's a System Preference which controls the touch-sensitive "second button." It's turned off by default. Squeezing and "nub-clicking" is turned on, I think.
If you plugged your mouse in and it defaulted to active touch-sensitive buttons, I would guess you probably changed that setting earlier.
Some people claim that it's legal to do so with a special permit. One possible reason for his doing so might be that his license plates get stolen by fanboys as souvenirs if he leaves them on. Another might be that you can't find out where celebrities live if you can't get their license plate numbers.
Yeah, AppleWorks basically feels like OpenDoc in one app. I think it did eventually become a real OpenDoc container before Apple killed OpenDoc, too.

"Ah, if that tall asshat over there was a block, I could score a Tetris..."
Sources?
Last I heard, it was exclusive to 360 and PC. Which pisses me off, because I have a PS3 and no Windows PC.
I'm still hoping this movie isn't too bad - some reviews are actually positive. It should be the perfect game for a Boll movie, really.
One's a step in a direction we like, and the other's a step in a direction we don't like. Next question.
Maybe you're right. Another reason for posting anonymously when heaping on the Unreal Engine might be that those people who work for companies that are having development issues with the Engine don't want to identify themselves for obvious reasons.
Indeed. Eating fruit and pizza de queso three times a day gets old pretty quickly :-)

Three things:
I buy a new Ridge Racer (the recent versions I own are the DS version, the first PSP version, and the PS3 version) from time to time, and I wish they'd fix the stupid "I'm on rails and can drift around a corner backwards while doing a 360" crap.
So you bought every single Bluray movie available?
My local electronics store has hundreds of different DVDs, and about 20 different Blurays, despite using a full shelf for them.
Nothing, because the other 60% don't care.
Dude, whether something is "next gen" is based on when it comes out.
Even if the Wii had cost 600 bucks, I'd still have bought it before the PS3.
Just as much as I have now. Namely, a hell of a lot.
What? People buy Wiis because it reminds them of the Arcades? That's the most absurd theory I've ever heard.
And Excite Truck was a good game. Owning both the Wii and the PS3, I put about three times as much time into Excite Truck than Motorstorm.

I bought mine because it looks kinda like the monolith from 2001. Same size, too. It's a real conversation starter. True story.

Wow, that's really interesting! And it seems to be true. Here's a picture, and here's a discussion.
