Norway had one massive shooting. Israel and Switzerland both have a high rate of gun ownership (though stricter laws than US and better gun training.
That leaves Slovakia, which had 1 shooting which killed 8 people, and Finland which had 2 shootings killing a total of 8 people. They don't really look like "Little Americas."
"They seek from the Bible inspiration, a cultural identity, "
This part has me confused. non-Christians consider scripture to be a moral fable that delivers a message that's not literal. They seek inspiration from the Bible but not doctrine. What they don't do is get a cultural identity from it. But what do you mean by that? Surely you don't mean that Christians identify with 2000 year old Middle Easterners. I suspect you're skipping over the important bit about what makes a Christian a Christian, and that bit probably has something to do with belief.
Plank was, of course, wrong. See Darwin for the most obvious example.
There are plenty of religious intellectuals. There are plenty of religious scientists, but common religious beliefs have been fairly steadily eroded by science on an immense scale. This process continues.
The fundamental question of science is "How may I be wrong?" This is a very difficult question to ask. It's more natural to ask "How may I be right?" Mythological thinking survives quite well when subjected only to the latter question, but the former question is deadly to it.
C. S. Lewis's defense of Christianity is pathetic. I find it disheartening that anyone would find him convincing, or think that he is a great intellectual.
Then you are misinformed. Iraq issued a statement in 2002 that they had no WMD and allowed in UN inspections. You may remember Colin Powell's famous and dishonorable speech he gave to the UN. Just a few weeks after, Hans Blix, the chief weapons inspector for the UN operating in Iraq, also presented his findings.
"How could anyone have known?" that going into a country without provocation and killing a bunch of people would piss them off. That firing every conquered soldier and politician would bolster the resistance. That holding elections in Shi'ite majority Iraq would hand the country to Iran.
The magnitude of the looming failure was pretty obvious. The men who planned the war were either stupid or didn't care about these particular results.
Do not let them off the hook by saying it was all just a big crap shoot.
The difference is that Cleese wasn't the head of a pro-crucifix organization. Attacking Heston is not about solemnity, it's about fighting back against the gun nuts.
Plenty of people have been put in jail and hanged for war. Starting a war is a crime against the peace. More people go unpunished than punished, but it's still a crime.
Unfortunately having dealt with school administrators recently, I could have. It really is "watch what you say or you're out" these days in public schools.
I'm guessing he's got a bit of the Aspergers. Such kids really have no clue what is going to freak out adults. Yes, if he'd asked somebody, he might have found out in advance, but Asperger kids don't do that, either.
No. That attitude led to them investigating his device. This is appropriate if someone has a concern. Arresting him was some combination of pig headed stupidity, racism, and a "double down" attitude of the police.
The military has undoubtedly determined that arming everyone would cause more gun deaths than not arming them.
My guess is that they know what they are doing.
It's also worth noting that if Virginia were a nation, it would be number 2 on that list.

Have you missed out on the asswhooping science has given religion over the past few centuries? It's non-stop and ongoing.
How does this religion treat those to whom god does not speak?
Someone needs to sit you down and tell you how babies are made. It's going to be a shocker.
Then they will go to heaven.
Not if the language is a fake one for giants to speak on TV.

Freedom of speech means freedom to repeat speech.
You must be confusing 2002 with 1990. Either that or your skin is too thin for handling a world spanning empire.

Try to kill ISIS from the air. What a novel idea.
Sure, but both book and movie are pretty good for all that.
The difference is that Cleese wasn't the head of a pro-crucifix organization. Attacking Heston is not about solemnity, it's about fighting back against the gun nuts.
And usually ethnic cleansing is for the same reason. "They're on our land." or "We want their women." See the book of Joshua for a good example.

Your logic is infallible.
You have a point with the Italians. As for the Germans, the Russians faced 10 times as many divisions as the Western Allies for twice as long.
How will I know I'm not poor if even the poor have money?
