It is probably just a backwards disc, like the GC and Wii had. And it will not die like UMD, because Nintendo is not trying to sell music or video on it, just games for their own system.
I was going to post that if no one else had. Although I admit I do not currently have anyone from work as friends on FB (goes against my general policy of, "no I will not friend you just because we know each other", I don't really do any social things with any of my coworkers)
My uncle's FF gradually bloats, slows and dies if he doesn't recreate his profile or take similar measures every couple of months. Sure, his addon habits are not great, but they aren't that awful as far I can see. On the other hand, I might create a new profile every few years, and even then it is usually more for shits and giggles than real perf issues. Windows or Linux, doesn't matter.
My SeaMonkey nightly (probably similar to FF5, or did they branch with 4?) is 1.8 GB Res and 2.8 GB Virt on Linux, but I am well north of 100 tabs right now... Still not hitting swap 90% of the time with 4GB RAM and Awesome WM
It doesn't need to be faster, it already plenty fast - I never notice a difference in speed from Windows to Linux. And of course the Linux version is far more stable than the Windows version.
For something that should be simple, it's absurdly complicated to use. Very nearly every time I have to make some sort of measurement calculation, I think "man, this would be easier in metric".
A couple of redneck friends of mine started using "klick" as a distance because they found out the US military uses it. Imagine their reaction when they found out (from me) that it was metric (almost as bad as being French, as far as they are concerned).
Yeah, I use a (thumb) trackball mostly, but a simple Logitech LX3 works for me when I want to play games that don't do well with the trackball. Of course playing Touhou doesn't need a mouse at all...
Now there seems to be major movement in GDC (including maybe going into mainline GCC) and LDC, and of course last summer 2.0 became marked as stable, so things look brighter than they have in the past.
Yeah, no. You are just wrong on all three counts. The only one could have any sort of argument at all on is LotR: if you have the attention span of a three-year-old, then yes it might be boring to you.
Acting on B5 started a little rough, but rapidly became quite good. Story-wise, there isn't a live action show that comes close, unless perhaps you count parts of shows - season 1 of Heroes was very good, for example (and was rather poor all other seasons).
And the movie of Starship Troopers? Really? First off, it should have been called "Space Marines vs Bugs" or something, it had no relation to the book beyond a few names and the title. And even as "Space Marines vs Bugs" it was pretty darn bad. The book on the other hand is very well written, which anyone should admit even if they disagree with the message(s).
The controller will cost enough as it is without putting a gpu in it.
And obviously they can't use BT for HD video, it is almost certainly WirelessHD.

Some get time-based issues in FF, others don't.

50 is small time, I was running that many sometimes during the Mozilla 1.7 timeframe (FF of that time would have choked to death).

>SQLite databases which it uses to store profile data.
Which would include, among other things, "cookies, local/sessionstorage JS APIs, and the WebDB"
And of course both IE8/9 and Chrome take rather more RAM than FF...
Wasn't there someplace years ago where you could finger the coffee pot to see it's state?
>Internet: 1993-
Nope. The phrase you are looking for is "world wide web", and even that is actually a few years older than Mosaic
KDE5 will not break the world like KDE4 did. Just as Qt5 will not break the world.

>Metric has little to do with french. It is actually based on the speed of light.
History? What's that?
>can't easily convert from m/s to km/h.
Easier than ft/s to mi/h. And the only thing that makes it hard at all is that we never went to base ten time.

As some that grew up in the US and still lives there, I can say that it is very broken.
>I'm sure aliens would have their own "universal system" too.
Based on the Planck units if they have any sense.
>but some are silly enough that they actually raise a point.
Like OMG Ponies!
I do, man. It really matters to me.

Get out.
