Also, how, exactly do they plan to notify? Email isn't a good method. They already do this crap anyway. Try hosting a mail server that sends to a couple of lists some time, or even try using a 3rd party authenticated mail server, and watch your outbound smtp(s) traffic get blocked.

Did you read in the article where the labels are making money selling this guy's work. Work that he gives to his fans for free. I don't consider it free, though. I'd think of it as promotional.

Stealing free work and selling it disgusts me. Like when nelly furtado used a mod (or was it an s3m?) a few years ago in one of her songs and didn't pay, let alone credit, the author.

Blackberry deals with this well with their application firewall. No reason palm (or, gee, a 3rd party!) couldn't do the same.

I'm looking forward to getting a pre, but not sure about the reliability of Sprint's network vs. ATT. *sigh*. I wish the whole tying of phone to network thing would go away. Pre on Verizon without hobbling the OS would be quite nice.

Actually, if google just sold a modular 'app appliance' based on their current clustering, that would be a huge win for business. It can be a 'web app' without being on the general internet. As your company grows, you just add boxes that automagically scale to deal with the growth. One central place to upgrade, configure, keep standard templates, etc. That would rock.
