I really don't understand the concern. It shouldn't be able to explode, no O2, and from what I've read the satelites aren't supposed to crash land. So what's the problem?
The post was about the 2.4.1 kernel. I can get it to build but (IMHO) it dosen't appear to be as stable as the 2.4.0. Isn't that usually the case having the.0 kernel be more stable than the.1 up until about.5 ?
According to the Darwin website they are affraid to make Bash the default shell (or even include it) because of a confusion of the GPL. (If they make bash available under the GPL does that make the system dependent on GPLed code?)
Well, the original DC used a modified version of Windows CE, so for it to be compatible I would assume It would use the same OS, but with some different hardware
Clairification: The game itself is okay, but the way it is portrayed in America is sick. I would like to know howmany people actually watched for the game...
What I'd really like is a sound card that does no analog processing and has coaxial and optical outputs for dolby digital(AC3) and possibly DTS streams
RIAA would never allow this. It would allow people to rip cds with little to no error in less time than it takes now.
Is it just me or do we see things like this all the time, not just pen/stylus input, but a whole range of technology that seems specialized in it's abilities and is never adopted by the majority. I just see all of these as fancy expensive toys that display the abilities of technology and another thing i will never own.
Why do I suddenly see a buch of Aussie servers moving out of the country?

The only question is: Which way do we do it?
Yeah, it's kind of like that Linus guy who wanted to learn about the 386. Just look at all the time he waisted on another version of UN*X.
How about a java virtual machine written in bash. Would that be slow enought?
No, how about something like a PDP-11. Any other ideas?

How about a techno-hype category for the cool stuff we will never see? (so it can be filtered out)
Youv'e got som really nice mp3's and stuff on your website. Any plans for it, or are you just doing it for fun?
I'm wondering who is going to run it. I thought it was the hard work of ALE
I dunno why not ask Taco.

One of the requirements according to NASA is:
Height between 64 and 76 inches.
Finally equality among stupidity. If we are going to spread lies, spread them about both products, OK?
I also like the fact that he implies that the BIND security issue is only present on Linux, not *BSD or any other UN*X.

In Georgia, where AT&T took over mediaOne, I have noticed periodic "pauses" in the service. And the customer service isn't as friendly.
1-800-888-3999, and select option 7
Still works
Since when did it require those kind of system resources to run Gnome. Op... no wait... Genome... nevermind.
(p.s. couldn't seem to (be bothered to) find the article).
