    I took "intellectual property lawyer" to mean works in the complex area of law surrounding contracts and licencing, and the interpretation and supposed violation of the above.

    Yeah, but I heard they're releasing a goty edition with some extra pieces - A "lady in waiting" thats like a queen, but can only move 3 squares, and a kitchenhand, who moves the reverse of a pawn, but is really an illegitamte son of the king. If you get the two together on the same square, he gets promoted to king as a third colour.

    Australia tried that. We gave out free copies of pc filtering software. The takeup was so low that gov decided in their wisdom we were crying out for a filter on the pipe into the country.

    The problem there being Dexter book 2 was roughly 15 minutes of a 2nd season episode, mostly because they didn't buy the rights to anuything after book 1. Which I didn't mind because book 3 introduced a terrible plot contrivance involving the dark passenger, and a slowly spawning group of invisible horrors from outside time.

    *clapclap* You speak truth. Also, way to many cases of: "this will do what you want". "What, this? This incomplete 3rd year project using an obscure framework and requiring 37 different packages, each with their own conflicting library and compiler requirments? Not designed but hacked, using whatever the hacker thought was cool?" "Yes, that, it's great, you'll need to do some fiddling, and it only runs on the ...." No thankyou.

    My guards common mitigation is over 50%, so he'd be fine for the kinetic shock, but my fire mitigation is crap, so I'd probably take more from that... Have to get that good fire mit shield from the moors I guess.

    They should be kept on a different part of the electricity grid, preferably in a differnt postcode. There's a guy at work who doesn't seem to understand that the copy of the database in the same server room as prod that he's called DRP isn't. It's at best a hotbackup. We ask him 'What if the building burns down' and he responds with 'It won't' Very. Frustrating.
