I love slashdot. Under 'related links', there's a link for 'Best deals: Censorship' through PriceGrabber.

    Sorry, it made me laugh.

    Best Buy cracks me up.

Went there a couple of weeks ago to buy an iPod. Of course, the iPods were behind some sort of bullet-proof protected glass, so I had to get a salesperson even to look at the friggin' box. Once I found one and told them I wanted to look at the iPods, they started telling me how awesome they were. What a great deal they were. How much Apple kicks ass.

Ok, fine, I say. I'll take it. Let's check out.

Immediately, they change gears and tell me how easy the thing breaks, how bad the battery sucks, how long it takes to get a replacement from Apple, blah blah, buy our service plan. I should have left the store right there. Scum.

They were too busy laughing. I believe that they are just now done wiping the tears from their eyes...

I agree. Whenever I'm thinking of buying something, I head to google, type it it, and chances are that a nice, non-intrusive text ad will have exactly what I want for a good price. Everyone wins: Me, Google, and the advertiser.

I will never buy anything from X10 or any other major pop-under company (Orbitz, I'm looking in your direction...)

    Darl getting his ass kicked?

Now there's something I pay $699 to see.

I use MyWay. It's better than Yahoo at everything I need it for.

Plus, no banners or pop-ups. I have received a single spam there in over 6 months.

    It's blazingly fast, too.

I think that's one of the funniest comments I've ever read on slashdot.

Seriously, though, I have to stop reading these SCO threads at work. I laughed so hard at a couple of them, I started getting weird looks.

Keep it SCO, you're making slashdot funnier every day!
