Do Bluray discs keep long term? Back when the amount of data I had to back up was an order of magnitude smaller I used to back up to DVDs. Very time consuming, and I don't think they keep for more than a few years.
+1 to this. You can also back up to a "friend" (where "friend" = someone else with CrashPlan who is prepared to let you store some encrypted files, possibly in exchange for you storing some of their files). If said "friend" lives close, sneakernet around a copy of your current CrashPlan backup, and just import it to jump-start the remote copy.
See parent. A copy is not a backup.
A copy is good for when your primary storage fails and you want to get online quickly (or instantly with Raid), but no good when you discover that this file you need was encrypted 3 days ago, and all your copies have the same encrypted file.
I have to say I've not missed getting 20 new photos of my brother's cats posted everyday
You're right. It would be confusing for his page to let you know which cats were safe and which were not. I suspect in this situation it would be clearer to get a fb page for each cat.
You think? I'm torn between wondering if perhaps they have... friends in high places, or whether it is worth checking for the BRIAA logo on the letterhead anywhere.
For this reason my backup (non-DSLR) camera is my phone. I have an in-between compact somewhere in a box in the garage, but to be honest, the convenience of having the phone with me at all times wins. If I know I want to take some care with a photo I bring my DSLR.
In fact the Qantas safety briefing tells you to keep your belt fastened at all times. It seems like good advice to me, although often when I fly I notice people on the flight that don't have their belt on.
I don't see why they are bothering with rabbits. Torchwood had model that worked with human eyes years ago!
In addition to being able to display text to the wearer wirelessly, the contact lenses also double as a camera, so that they transmit what the wearer is seeing back to a laptop.

TFA says they tested the autopilot landing algorithm (successfully).
I see where you're going with this...
And then install Virtual Box, and then Windows 10?
That's sticking it to the man for sure! Take that Google, and your locked down "chrome" books!
$10,000? Assuming you get caught (see quote about limited resources to police zoning violations) that's still not a lot of a deterrent.
There is a lot of money involved here. Consider that as a property investor you can get triple the return if you let your apartments through Airbnb.
The other impact is that this drives up rents across the city for "normal" people.
We're talking formatting here.

Nine Entertainment is a TV network. Make sense?
I thought this might be a special father's day project, but tfa didn't seem to feature a build log or anything. Disappointed.

Coming up this week on Border Security:
Immigration Officer 1: ... so the passenger has presented at border control, and has refused the normal safety scan.
Immigration Officer 2: Right, so effectively endangering the safety and security of the nation?
Immigration Officer 1: Yes. That's right sir. What should we do with him.
Immigration Officer 2: Normal procedure. Plastic cuffs, scan him, put him on the next plane out.
Immigration Officer 1: Should we tase him first?
Immigration Officer 2: If you like. It has been a quiet morning, hasn't it? Yeah go for it.
Immigration Officer 1: Thankyou sir.
the best camera is the one that you have with you

Documented here.
Except for loser, where you have to add an o when texting.
I tried to work in a 'that's no floppy drive'/'that's no moon' reference, but it's just not happening for me today.
