    i believe that there is no greater feeling of helplessness than sitting in a cockpit, waiting for the enevatable impact that will surely occur.

    aircraft are designed to fly, but if the thrust, or lift componet of flight fails...

    which is cheaper? to design to an aircraft that will survive if the lift, or thrust componet fails? or just train a new pilot, and build another aircraft?

    i wonder just how much hype there is in going into space. this is bascially a technology that has been around for fifty years. its not exactly a state secret. the engineers have been paid, but access to the knowledge is fundamentally barred.

    there's excellent historic knowledge on children as informers. for example, the soviets have a statue in moscow of a child that informed on his parents. then there's the nazi's. now you can say that nothing from nazi germany came out that was any good. and you'd be wrong to think so. for example, during the nazi era children were routinely requested to find out things for the current prosecuting authorities. and with well documented success. so before you start down grading the painfully obvious; remember, hitler and stalin had a mother too. ;-)

    since when is it the responsibilty of napster to track ownership of files of anyone, for anyone?

    since when is it the reponsibilty of nampster to observe and report events on the internet to anyone?

    i think napster has done a service to the music community, because i find myself buying more cd's, because i can 'test' listen to them on napster. before that, i just waited.

    i would dearly love to have my children listen to the wit and humor of bill cosby. but just try and go to the store and buy one of his albums.

    i am to busy working on the internet to deal with the nonsense that the music industry is throwing in my face. the 'prosecution' would be well advised to consider the glorious industry of buggy-whips when challenging internet interactivies.
