You guys believe what you read in USA Today? They pick up on last year's paranoid delusions, google for some statistics to back it up, and call it news.
They could just have easily produced an article arguing the complete opposite (i.e. "Outsourcing is last year's management fad") with just as believable statistics; but they're probably saving that for next year.
funny, I did not notice any "Jew bashing" - most of the issues are local to the individual countries. You don't have a point, unless you're a troll. And even trolls are pointless without a sense of humour.
since the days of Maggie Thatcher, I've often thought that ineffectual government can be alot less damaging that strong leadership. So Kerry doesn't have to do anything, and he'd still be a better leader than Bush.
*court order*s need to be raised in the country in which the order is to be served. The servers in question were outside the jurisdiction of the FBI and US courts, so any *court order* should have come from the UK courts. While the UK often bends over backwards to help the FBI, that does not extend to US *court order*s being valid in the UK. But apparently Rackspace could not give a damn whether it was legal or not. As a result, no right thinking UK citizen should trust them with their data.
I doubt they could endure the overheads - promoting unknown artists, pampering prima donnas, etc. that the RIAA members use to justify their margins.
I can't see the likes Madonna or Eminem putting up with a low-ball offer from Wal-Mart, 20% market share or not, because most of their fans would still track down their product elsewhere.
That's funny, I thought new programming languages and paradigms evolved to keep CS professors under tenure. We're talking to binary gates, not eskimos.
Oh yeah, having half a dozen different ways of doing the same always makes it easier... not!
although many language designers seem to think so. Like replacing "if..else" constructs with "case" statements - what a massive productivity gain that was...
I was pointing out that this is a case of "the pot calling the kettle black". Perhaps if the governments at the UN weren't corrupt, then the UN might stand a chance of being less corrupt. A pipe-dream, I know...
Why should the US care about an organization that is rife with corruption
like the pre-bought respresentitives in the House & Senate? The only way the USA can rediscover democracy is by "kicking the moneychangers out of the temple", providing adequate government funding for elections and banning ALL politcal contributions.
the FBI isn't usually one of the rogue elephant agencies
Surely you jest? They have been knee-deep in political manipulation since their inception! Hoover kept files on everybody, of all political persuations, using them at the behest of his masters and his own agenda, much of which could be defined as blackmail. While Democrats were in power they were forced clean up their act, but with the Republicans back in power and the Patriot act in their back pocket they seem to be up to their old tricks again.
huh? as I recall the Catholic church had a problem with priest running off to join the revolutionaries in Latin America who were fight the (US-supported) fascist juntas.
Maybe it's just the protestants who have right-wing tendencies?
Don't be silly, the first job requirement on becoming an insurance salesman is to alienate all you friend by trying to sell them insurance. After that they don't have any friend except other insurance salesman.
You're not an insurance salesman by any chance, are you?
as a simple guide, parlimentary systems have an "honorary" head of state with no real power - like the Queen of England, the Irish president, etc. Real power lies with the leader of the Governing party in the lower house (like the house of Representitives in the US). Under presidential systems (like the US and France) the president has real power to affect the direction of government policies, like the King of England before Cromwell decapitated him.
Under a parlimetary system the Prime Minister will select his ministers from the other members of parliment (usually from his own party, but not necessarily). Under the Presidential system he will select his most sychophantic ("yes men") supporters and financial backers.
haha, you can never escape the Catholic church. You may call yourself a Bhuddist, but to them you are still a lapsed Catholic. The same applies to all you so-called Protestants - you are ALL just lapsed Catholics.
Not so different from the Mormans baptising all dead people...
The President has way too much power for this process to be in the hands of anybody except the voter. Anything less is far more susceptible to corrupution.
Google says the Chinese news service draws upon roughly 1,000 sites -- a broader array than in Germany, which trolls 700 sites, and Italy, which monitors about 250 sites.
So Google Germany are trolls? Mod them -1! I suspect the illiterate AP journo meant "trawls".

perhaps you could visit some the many Indymedia sites for yourself?
doh! should have been a reply to "Walmart could kill the music industry" mea culpa..

I think the goatse guy already demontrated glass lenses have already gone quite far enough!

But what are you goint to do when every election gets normalized to a tie?
Co-operate instead of fighting? Or does that sound too un-American?
I'm glad I don't have to maitain the code you write...

Hey, dont go comparing "beer-bellied, hygiene deficient, ugliest-ever men in drag wielding an axe" to Java!
You're giving beer-bellied, hygiene deficient, ugliest-ever men in drag wielding an axe a bad name!

The electoral college is about "unequal political privilege"?
Did you vote for them? No? Then yes, it is about unequal political privilege. Ditto the president they appoint.

the same way my employer does? block any address that contains the word "proxy", which most of dumb-asses who run these things do...
