It's not like most LiveJournal user's have enough to worry about, here's something for most LJ users to get melodramatic about. I'm serious, randomly pick 5 LiveJournal blogs, and I guarantee 4 out of 5 are going to be "Fuck the World" posts.
True, but let me expand this out a bit.
1 will say "fuck the world" 1 will say "fuck the world" because they got dumped by their bf/gf for being such a whine ass and figure out why 1 will say "OMFGWTFBBQ FuK Da WorLD!!" 1 will say "world the fuck" while whining about being dyslexic 1 will say "Fuck the world, now i will cut myself to release the pains of the world"
And i'm sure they wanted to keep that name, but they realized that another application, a database engine i believe, already took the Firebird name...or maybe I'm thinking of Phoenix, the original name for it.
If you would've said to me that the mozilla/firefox would've been the prime browser choice over Opera a couple years ago, I would've laughed and said how great Opera is and how fast and snappy it is on my pitiful machine.
Now, I can't imagine browsing with anything BESIDES firefox (well, there are a FEW sites I use IE on, but who's to say if that's FF's problem or if the site was "optimized for IE")
Despite that, I would hate for Opera to be "forgotten", so I'm taking the stance of Open Source pundit and hope they can open source their browser...maybe I'm living in a dream world now:P
Ask again when every game requires you to install it's own content download and authentication utility.
At which point, you either follow their rules, find a way around it, complain loudly, or take the damn game back for a refund. Couldn't be more simple.
Another thing to consider is that if the bulb broke or you otherwise injured yourself, you can bet that the company would be in deep shit by OSHA and other safety organizations.
I too believe that you don't always need a college degree to have commanding intelligence. However, I am aware of the real world expectations of the "job market", among other things, and having that degree determines whether artificial barriers are lifted or fortified.
And sometimes it's a shame that someone who can otherwise think on their feet and do the job 10 times around without faltering are constricted, but that's how it goes.
Well as Ron White says, "You've seen one set of breasts, you...wanna see the rest of 'em!" :D

but that's ONE HELL of a Slashdotting! :)
Just in case it may work on my mac ;-)
;)
:)
It probably won't work on Windows either
I guess it's a stretch to say it'll run on Linux
I was only a baby in the 70's you insensitive clod!! :P
:)
(for the record, I was alive for maybe 5 months in the 70's
Girlfriends are not toys. :-(
:P
Trust me, I know...
Yeah, and toys usually don't bite you

Irony: The GameCube competes against the Sony PS2 and runs at 486 MHz.
:)
Except those 486s in those Packard Bells would've ran a smidge faster
So I take it you take your chances going across the street, weaving against traffic? :P
Yay! :D
I haven't found out where the "Meeesta Jones" Jackie-Chan-esque kid fits into the plot yet...
;)
Oh, you mean the Jar-jar Binks role?
Not at all, I love making money. I just can't miss the opportunity to make (wise/dumb)ass remarks :)
The title announced will be: Indiana Jones and The Search For More Money
Yeah, I wanted to know if you're running your servers on these machines. :)
Or you could've simply moved your refrigerator upstairs where the computer is
Then again, maybe you could just have a portable A/C unit nearby.
Given the trend and push for low consumption, hence quieter PCs, I'm optimistic that problems like this will be a thing of the past
Why would you want to use something that's named "F***ed Up Beyond Repair 2000"?
:P HAR HAR HAR HAR HAR!!!! *ducks and hides now*
I dunno, but apparently that doesn't stop people from using Windows!!

Yeah, and wait until they have cars that have TV screens built into them with Video Games or DVD inputs....oh wait, those already exist :P
Well, that brings a new meaning to the term "idiot box" ;)
Wow! That Death Star sure blew up that dust speck Alderaan really bad! :P

Uninstall Linux and install FreeBSD.
:P
Oops, wait, that's only 5 words. Need another 1,195 to pad it out. Any suggestions?
Try copying and pasting a "BSD is dead" post, but replace references of BSD with Linux. That'll add enough words to your paper
