Hi, there is this same posting on dot.kde.org and there have been many suggestions on how to improve the ui and such on Konqueror/Embedded. Now, instead of saying about how this is a bad idea, we can make it better! PalmOS isn't perfect at all, and Qt/Embedded can make things better, if we all try to help it:-)
I heard that the networks got wrong information about the vote in Florida... this really makes me wonder if we can really watch the networks and trust them.
First off, There is an option in KDE2 for having a shared menubar for all KDE2 apps. I use this myself. That + one more small panel seems perfect, because it gives a menu of all apps on machine, a tasklist and clock, launchers and desktop switchers, which the MacOS doesn't have.
When I use a Mac, I am constantly plagued with running more than one app. If I want to raise one browser window, the GUI forces me to raise all of my browser windows. And if I want to switch apps, I must go through a menu. And there is no way to show the desktop instantly.
Paging through Apple's OSX pages, I have noticed one glaring thing: It keeps raving about all of its new GUI features. The problem: KDE2 has implemented almost all of them. This gives me great hope for the future, with a contemporary free IDE and Office suite.
Man, if you never had a NES, well, your unlucky. They were so fun.
Then mine broke.:-)
Moral of story: The first Nintendo games were totally superb, and really, all console games now are incredibly boring and, just plain not very fun. But Duck hunt, and all the Marios were so original (maybe because they were the only ones) and so fun!
Unfotunately, emulating them on my Linux box just isn't the same... (*fond memories of playing Duck Hunt*)
But I am still happy, because KSpaceDuel is one of the first games that is pretty creative and well thought out, and very fun. So I have hope... but not if all the games I ever see are the same thing. This is why I haven't bought any consoles since my Genesis and NES.
KDE must change its name to "GUI" -- Graphical User Interface.
Why? Well, the most popular of Microsofts products have been named after what they are -- Dos, the disk operating system, SQL Server, Something Querying Language, So if KDE renames itself "GUI", Then they will be in the big time!
Well, I read his story and I think that it would just be pretty stupid to shut something really worthwhile like this down. And I suggest to everyone using Unix to try GNapster -- it seems to work:-)
From my experience, Napster sorta got me into listening to music on my computer -- Before, I never would have dreamed of going into a music shop -- But now that I can listen to the music a little, I am a helluva lot more interested. People need to realize this! Oh well. I hope Napster lives on in some way.

I would appreciate it if people would read my opinion on freekde.org... thanks!
come to #mir on irc.kde.org! now!
Come on.. your being irrational about the browser part. Konqueror and eazel both sport fine browsers that are as good as IE. Jason
here it is five past ten according to my kde2 fuzzy clock.
ahem.
Thanks
Wow... /me can't wait! ooooh.... Florida is the key here.

And a smattering of other packages... then a simple apt-get install task-kdenetwork for internet apps... ta da!Then mine broke. :-)

I really like this. I can't wait for the Transmeta chip to get more mainstream, that will be reallly great for everybody. Competition is good!

Forget cool names like KDE and GNOME...
