Chem is well outside my specialty (shouldn't be, I loved organic chem, long story...), but IIRC, patents are good for 17 years, and gasoline has been in use a hell of a lot longer than that. Wouldn't the older processes for chopping up carbon chains therefore be public domain? My intuition says yes, but I've been wrong before.
I have neither the PS1 or PS2. I'm still using a p2-400 to play Counter-Strike. Why, oh why, did I spend $100,000 on college to get a shit job when I could have bought thousands of Playstations and still have the same job?
Come on Sony, sell them for $10 so I can not eat for a day, and then pick one up.:)
So can I sue every homosexual who has changed the meaning of the words fag and gay such that I can't use them in everyday speech without someone yelling the I'm-gonna-get-you-fired phrase "I'm offended?"
That page is wrong, I called them back a few minutes ago. They had my number listed for 3 different people in 3 different states, none of which were me. The company is First Management Alternatives, not Equifax.
To verify I had no collections problems, I ordered a 3in1 credit report from Equifax, and I was right, no problems. D'oh! It cost $40:(
I've never, ever had a late payment in my life. To do so would mean a lack of self-responsibility, and therefore I would have to kill myself. It's the one thing I blindly believe in (my own religion!) It amounts to theft, and there's only one thing I hate more than thieves, religious extremists. Of course, they're nothing but thieves anyway, stealing people's thoughts. Now I'm way OT. Thanks!:)

Got the number, the douchebags just called again. This must be coming from outside the US, the guy's accent was so bad I had to listen to the message 4 times to get the number, I couldn't understand the business name.

I need to find a payphone to bitch at these guys from. No way am I using my cell minutes on telemarketing scum.
Every month or so I get a voicemail (on my cell even, no landline) with a message that starts with "This is not a business call. Please call back at 800-814-xxxx between." I googled for the number, hit verizon's phone listings and yahoo's number lookup, but I couldn't find it. It's rather annoying that they don't even bother to leave a business name.
Oh, Greenpeace is definitely anti-nuke. I just hope that the next time Greenpeace tries to block a nuke carrier from entering port that someone orders a JADAM or 2 into the decks of the Greenpeace boats.
If you're using OE (not sure if Outlook has the same feature), you can use OE's Multiple Identites feature to password protect your identity so one can't just launch OE and browse through your mail. Since we're talking about people you trust and I presume aren't very savvy, this will prevent casual browsing. The mail storage on local disk (%systemroot%\Application Data\Identities\CLSID\Microsoft\Outlook Express) is in a db format, not easily read by non-savvy people.
Best part is you don't have to do anything besides implement an existing feature if all you want to do is prevent casual browsing by non-savvy people.
Heh, did you happen to go to RIT? It looks like you tried to fit stuff with the standard dorm furniture and layout of a high rise room. Or maybe all college dorms are the same, I wouldn't know.:)

I clicked a TreeLoot banner ad once ( I was bored with nothing to do). Because of that one click, I've had a free subscription to Playboy since 1999, I think it expires in 2006. Now that was some good advertising money well spent by someone... They gave away a product, and had to pay to give it away! hehe.
Will I pay to renew in a couple years? Hell no. Will I click another banner ad to do so for free? Oh yeah.
I hadn't checked on my 5-current box, but it appears you're correct, it doesn't exist on cvsweb (src/etc/defaults). My last comment was for 4.x machines, I guess I should have mentioned that. I didn't read the article, as it's rather irrelevant to me. I'm guessing the article is for 4.x?
Ebay for a used Kodak DC5000. They're vacuum sealed, water and shock resistant. There was a recall for a screw problem; if you can get the serial number before you bid, you can call to see if it has been checked/fixed. If not, it's done for free (including shipping).
make.conf doesn't exist in a/etc on a fresh system. You moved it instead of copying it (ie mv/etc/default/make.conf../ instead of cp/etc/default/make.conf../ )
If you run mergemaster after you cvsup, you'll get a fresh copy in/etc/default.

I would seriously hope that GNU/Mailman could care less about the MTA in use. I use postfix, but enver had a need for Mailman, so I have no idea.

No. This lawsuit should be thrown out.
The new version of mIRC has SSL support, according to my brief look at the changelog when I updated.

Telemarketers need to die.

It really is a shame I can't make the order. Yet.
And you can even get it to pre-load CZ so you just have to give it a key to unlock it. I haven't had the $40, but CZ is sitting on my hard drive.

I would be really surprised if you can read MMC but not SD, as the formfactor is the same. SD just has the write protect switch.
Maybe because 'hoes' is a valid word? It's the plural of ho, a tool used in gardening. Get out of the house, you might use one someday. :)

I'm using both my 5120i and my 5165 right now. They work, and they were free with my plan, I don't see a need for anything else, for me anyway.

Actually, a lot of stupid people get to his level. It's called promotion to incompetence, and it happens every day.

portsdb -uU takes a hell of a time to generate a new INDEX.db
This just took me 10 minutes on a server that was under 50% load at start time, with a ports cvsup on Saturday. The machine is a k6-2 350.
I don't think that's unreasonable considering how old my servers are, and the number of ports it has to chew through (10,000+, maybe 11,000 now.)
