People seem to forget, this also has to deal with a share holder meeting on the 26th, i cxl'ed my account and they decided it is effective on the 28th. So that XM can show the Sirrus people they aren't taking so much of a fallout over this. Also makes Xm look good in the eyes of FCC as they are taking a proactive approach on things the FCC would not look nicely upon as to get a better position to negotiate the possible *Monopolistic* merger.
I think this throws another player into the fray. One of the main things i hope happens it it becomes a 3 horse race between cable/dsl/power.
Cable companies will be forced to improve performance and reduce prices
DSL will be forced to expand network coverage allowing for rural America and other huge city's to have coverage. This will also make them fix their price structure.
And power, because it already has the infrastructure up will force them to add more infrastructure to compete.
This can only be good as far as a economic standpoint. Broadband is still an oligopoly but [hopefully] once wireless and other alternative technologies abound we will have a truly competitive market.
This does not always work, On a journey through a southern state. With my best friend we were accosted by police of that state. When pulled over for no apparent reason. He attempted to find reason. When he told me, "Since our computers can not run your id's, we will be required to search the vehicle"
I responded as the owner of vehicle, "I do not consent to a search and why are we being detained"
As he continues to grill us with questions about each other, he had since removed my friend from the car. When the story's checked out he called in for 5 other patrol cars.
Once they all pulled up and we were asked to get away from the car. I asked "May i please take my jacket it is a cold night, and i didn't expect to be illegally searched at 4am" My request was deny-ed.
Then for 1 and 1/2 hours they meticulously tore apart my car. Looking for anything near contraband. They emptied our suitcases on the side of the road, they jacked up the car looking into caverns in the exhaust system, they used fiber optic scopes to search inside the door molding and doors, sonogram-ed my tires.
In the end, they found nothing. Upon allowing us to go back to my car, i asked for his badge number and the badge number of all other officers involved he proceeded to ignore me and head back to his RPC (Radio Patrol Car).
This was an enlightening experience for a NY 'boy' in a southern state, and being nice has nothing to do with having your rights violated it just sucks getting them violated weather you are nice or not.
From my limited time working in HR i suggest one thing before you seek on line courses. One of the weakness of on line courses is the further away they are from your current or possible residences less credence they regard it with. I do not know of this course in particular but thats my feeling with a lot of on line courses.
yeah a site exists where people do similar things like this for fun...
it should help with some info on equipment and FAQ's

My largest concern regarding this is the frequencies are they going to mess it up again with hair brained auctions (Cell phone's) or make it so restrictive that even my microwave will buzz my connection (802.11). I fear for how the FCC will dream up this freq. distribution.
Unfortunately it never seems the "right time" to buy any chip. You buy a specific chip then they change the die size and you have a coffee heating device as a chip, or they update the core, or they bump up the speeds. It all comes down to if it's mission critical at this point and if you need a machine right now. And as far as bang for your buck, depending on the applications you are running AMD still keeps the lead...well sometimes
I find most modern games don't have a sense of humor that is "funny" Games like Super Hero League of Hoboken were amusing not because they were racy but because they were hair brained. That is the kind of game i would love to see remade.
Colleges are going back into session. During finals week they went down because peoplem didn't have time. Now that they are back and the begining of the sysmester is light work load..
In the ton's of research i do for my major in college i find only biased views. I was tought that it was my goal as the researcher not to only take the views and desciminate them but to also weigh them and present an unbiased arguement. That is the job of the researcher.
When I was 12 I was diagnosed with ADHD. It was just before it was the end all diagnosis. They attempted to medicate me with caffeine. 2 cups a day for 3 months not only made me hyper but it gave me an ulcer. Next they tried the Z***** pill. This also has worked for a short time. Then they tried other drugs. It basically came to a point where I didn't wish to be medicated anymore and used a little self control. I was the kid who had a tremendous aptitude but couldn't focus on one task long enough to succeed in it. My suggestion to you is if the medication helps don't proclaim it the wonder drug but think of it as a tool. Eventually your daughter will have control and think before acting. A lot of the diagnosis is kids being kids. Just be supportive and try to have her work on her problems without using the drugs as a crutch. Remind her she is a normal kid but extra inquisitive. Encourage her to reamain with standard tracking of other students and build on what does motivate her. My hobbies are the factors helped me concentrate and control ADHD.
I rember having a similar thing in my Highschool. Unfortuantly however, it was done on the sly and during class hours.
Having such an activity would be great fun for kids outside of an acidemic computer usage enviroment, however running such an activity with most school districts acceptable use policy will be difficult.
As a student at a mid sized school. The technology fee has turned into a small slush fund. I personaly send a proposal and it was later denyed. I think a WAN for on campus and a limited area of off campus housing would give better access and allow alot of students to use the resources from many access points.
I rember being a drug council member in the dare program in my elmentry school at age 10
{Dream Seaqence}
Later in Junior Highschool and Highschool i ended smoking 1 ounce of pot a day and doing most of the other drugs at one time or another. I also picked up the wonderful habbit of smoking.
I no longer do narcotics howerver i do smoke and i belive the programs are ineffecive because it stigmatises drug use as a counter culture. The grouping with this counter culture also let them find a common ground. By saying "Say no to Drugs" and "Drug are bad" you equate it to "Speeding is bad" and "Too much sugar causes tooth decay" So when my little sister goes out every weekend to do E i laugh because IMHO it's just a phase
