I'm for ANY law which punishes unfair competition by liars, thieves and cheats overseas. As it were, the mainland Chinese in particular have shown themselves incapable of playing by the rules, and since the Chinese government are so hell bent on shielding their people from the consequences of their actions (under the aegis of "non interference" and "sovereignty"), I think it's completely reasonable to, as a second choice, to penalize businesses who benefit from unfair and dishonest Third World business practices.

The "support" is a joke, but even more so than the rest of the industry, and the "up to" speeds are laughable, especially if you're stuck in a poor coverage area (the Docklands of London) with a street full of warez pups madly downloading at all hours of the day and night.

You're essentially saying that all secrecy is bad, and that because of that, our people have to work with their hands tied behind their back.

Food and energy prices have gone up because of exploding demand from countries like India and China, freak bad weather, and the financial crises caused by the US.

The station is designed to have a very limited lifetime of 20 years. It's designed to be serviced, refueled and resupplied by LEO spacecraft (Shuttle, Soyuz, visiting vehicles). Without regular resupply, it's useless Shielding. Move it too far, and shielding wouldn't be adequate for protecting human occupants. Adding shielding is a total non starter. Thermal issues: the station is very carefully designed to cope with the thermal environment of it's low Earth orbit. Move it too far, it'll overheat quickly. It's flat-out radiating away heat from Station systems as it is without being exposed to the full brunt of the Sun 24/7.
I don't know what planet YOU'RE from, but it seems that of all people on Earth, only mainland Chinese think it's okay to lie, cheat and steal.
