The only weak mind in action at the moment is the original poster that sought to link this useless bill to his paranoia of "librul" politicians. Or perhaps it was a carefully crafted troll designed to look like an idiot?

Please provide evidence that every county in Florida carried out a recount. Provide before numbers and after numbers.

Of course, the problem was exasperated by Gore deciding to only have recounts in counties he won, rather than across the whole state.

I'm not sure if that's the whole truth. Under Floridian law because the votes were so close a recount should have taken place. The Republican controlled counties simply resubmitted their original numbers. This was illegal, against voting regulations and the perpetrators should have been prosecuted. The official overseeing the Florida election (Katherine Harris) should have insisted that the law was followed, but she chose not to. Of course we all know that she was rewarded handsomely for her law-breaking.

Gore "choosing" which counties had a recount may have been conservative spin. It's possible that those recounting were the ones where a Democrat official gave the (legally required) order to do so.

Now the Texas Republicans want to redistrict again. They didn't like the last result so they're changing parliamentary rules in order to get their plan shoved through. This is all at the behest of the Bush Whitehouse.
It is not normal to redistrict every 2 years. This is what you do when you want to guarantee getting elected, because you've fscked the economy up so much that you can't get enough of the popular vote to carry you into office.
It's a bit like getting your brother to block minorities from voting in the state that he's running.
State Police headlight checks in minority neighbourhoods near the polling station on election day? Perfectly normal.
Scrubbing thousands of citizens from the voting rolls because their name sounds like that of a convicted felon in another state? Nothing to see here.

It's instructive that the BBC prints Bin Laden's statement, but the BBC had a ban on Sinn Fein leader Gerry Adams voice from being broadcast on the BBC, and it was only the English press that censored Sinn Fein statements (Sinn Fein being a political party with MP's regularly elected to parliament, and which has a good chunk of the Catholic Northern Irish vote). Adams was speaking out against the English army's presence in Northern Ireland, the paramilitaries shooting of civilians on an anti-internment march in 1972 and other such things, the BBC simply did not want it's viewers and listeners to hear his voice.

Actually the ban on Sinn Fein activists' voices being broadcast in the UK was enacted by the British government, not the BBC. The BBC would still carry video pictures of SF activists and overdub their voices with those of actors. The effect was to still get SF's message across and make the ban look ridiculous.

Such a ban had been in effect in the Republic of Ireland for some time before the British government followed suit.

Oh, and I don't believe England has had its own army in a few hundred years.
