I concur completely. It seems we might be of the same age too. My son just graduated from university recently. How do you feel age is being factored into hiring these days? I feel as though, since most hiring managers are entry-level now and younger, they do not value experience and "legacy" items. That's my experience. Younger people are taking less money as well. I refuse to take a job where I could routinely get $125k over 15 years and now, that same job, is paying only $65k-80k because the H1-B visa holders have driven the prices down so far. In Southern California, you can not exist on what they are offering. That all being said, I find that it is hard to find AMERICANS working in IT in California at this point.

Additonally, you and your wife probably took pay that was sub-standard to what an American would accept.

Revoke all the H1B's and force all the companies to hire Americans. Restore the workplace for Americans.

3.5 Million hits on a graphic intensive site will end up costing you thousands of dollars per month in bandwidth overage charges. You obviously don't run a website or you'd be aware of the costs involved. If it were my site, I'd be in jail too. I don't think he should be forced to foot the bill for the Sheriffs department. Give me a break! Then they go and redev the site - and they pay for it. What does that tell you? Wait until they get the traffic and they have to pay the bandwidth overage bill... another /. article from that?

If you are looking for a good video camera to just take good video then try the Mustek DV Series of Digital Camcorders. They are only $200. They are small and too the point. They take great video. 640x480 at great quality.
    MPEG 4 Real time video recording frame rate - 30fps (352 X 288 )
    640 x 480(VGA) video setting provides you
    better resolution than VCD (352 X 288 / PAL ; 352 X 240 / NTSC)

With a 512MB SD Card you can record 2 hours of 640x480 video. This thing is great.

Limitations: It's not built for low-light.

It's also a still camera and mp3 player(?).

For $200 you can't go wrong.

Plain and simple. I don't know if you notice in your town or on your freeways that more and more cameras are being installed. Take a look. Oh sure, we turned off the facial recognition technology..wink wink.

90% of the intersections in my town have 4 video surveillance cameras, these are NOT red light cameras. We only have anout 3 red light cameras. The cameras are not installed on state highways, in city limits, in my town.

What ever happened to freedom of speech? Even if he or others that have been facing the same persecution had made remarks. Remarks don't mean anything. What ever happened to 'Stick and Stones will break my bones, but WORDS will never hurt me.'? When is society going to figure out that when people are put into a pressure cooker, like being ridiculed, taunted, teased, the tend to blow up. Any prudent person would do the same under these circumstances. This is almost a role reversal in some ways.. You have the jocks and popular kids moving towards femininity and the geeks and nerds (which I am proudly a part of!) are moving more towards what in the past has been defined as masculinity. Why are the kids that made the taunts and remarks suspended also? Weren't those threats? I remember being on the other end of these remarks and taunts and they seemed like threats to me..
