    contractor pay at those installations isn't that great, so you'll have to like what you're doing and the various equipment that you get to play with.

    I think the big problem with MSFT is that whatever market they enter, they just don't want to compete, they want to destroy all their other competitors. The other companies are competitive, but I don't think they have the blood lust to control everything like MSFT. Since they have a few billion laying around because of that behavior, they want to branch out and use it to conquer other markets.

    don't forget about filling in the templates for requirements, design, test cases, test procedures and whatever else is needed to make it SOX compliant.

    I was wondering how something that could have been on the Discovery Channel last week be news, but this is slashdot. The corkscrew manuever that it does right after launch is kinda weird. Until the show mentioned that it's supposed to do that, I thought it looked like it was out of control.

    that's kinda funny since the freedom to measure site uses carpentry as an example where the imperial system works better and that Canadian capenters still use it because it's easier to deal with.
    I don't really care one way or another. that's what pocket calculators are used for.

    Actually, they've settle on the phrase "Global Climate Change", or at least that's what they were calling it when I worked at a Federal research institution more than a decade ago - nice way to cover all both situations. At one point, people were basically told that they need to find a way to show that their projects were relevant to global climate change research, whether they really were or not since it was the best way to get funding.

    That's the best thing about Austin besides the Broken Spoke! Someday, I'm going to have a vacation where I do nothing but drive around and visit the BBQ joints, dancehalls, etc in the little towns in the Texas hill country.
