After several Swedish magazines attempted to calculate advertising revenues for Pirate Bay, Svenska Dagbladet said that the advertising revenues for the past four months reached 600000 SEK (84000 USD or 65400 EUR). This information was provided to the magazine from the advertising company Eastpoint Media. Svenska Dagbladet reminds that in reality even larger sums are involved. Pirate Bay operates internationally and advertising sales are therefore also international and being sold by more companies than only Eastpoint Media.
Hmm, bash, C and linus in one sentence and it isn't about Linux. For what it's worth, it seems (our) Linus was named after Pauling: http://www.linfo.org/linus.html
If you listen to the DVD commentaries for Futurama, Billy mentions several times how he has a crush on Amy:) (and Natasja from Rocky & Bullwinkle for some reason)

Makes me wonder if the slashdot editors asked for permission to link directly. Hotlinking 26 MB. is quite a lot if you are paying for your bandwidth pr. megabyte.
I'm guessing it's just like when you visit foreign countries. I enjoyed smoking weed in Holland, but I sure can't fire the ol' pipe up back here in Denmark. Doesn't really matter what morals you have or what laws your country/planet has, you'll have to follow local restrictions.
Handing over fines to a 7 feet tall, green monster with a ray-gun is another topic...
Maybe this is old news, but I asked a support worker at Sega about this. Here's what he said:
I saw that system. Sega has not issues an official release saying that we ok the product. It is up to the user and buyer to make the wise buying decision. You will have to ask them for warranties since Sega is not responsible for that system.
Forged logs
It's very trivial to fake logs to make it appear that a attack originated from a specific source.
Innocent traffic
I can't count the times I've been wrongly accused of "port hunting" after looking for a service on a friends box. Even a single ping can sometimes trigger a sites IDS and mark my IP as a threath.
This may be a good idea, but without at least some background checking and auditing of submitted logs, I wouldn't trust it one bit.
Kind of amazing how every time I say this, it gets reported like it's the first time. It's been the same since 2013.

No kidding, even the dog has one:

This was in 2006:

Not too shabby.

The Internet Movie Database has a page dedicated to this excellent movie. Very useful if you want to know more about the movie, instructor or actors.

Am I the only one concerned by this?
A few issues comes to mind:

Try this link. That's what you get when pages are dynamically created :-/
If this links won't work either, just visit the Deja PowerSearch and enter "wesright@my-deja.com" in the author box. Hope this helps.
Here is a index of the latest posts by this Wesley person. Should clear a few things up.
