You are missing the point DRM will always be in the form of a binary blob, this means that open source browsers will never be able to integrate this crap without it being a plugin with a binary blob, just like it is today. It is impossible to have this be a "standard", because only closed source browsers could possibly implement it.

There will always be criminals, sociopaths and crazy people in any society therefore there is a need to restrict gun ownership just like we restrict other items and materials like poison, bombs and nuclear weapons. But if the society isn't working because of corruption and/or prevalent social injustice then having rules which are not enforced do not work.

If the criminals in Brazil have guns even though there is a gun ban it must mean that the police and the government are massively corrupt and are aiding the criminals. That is a problem with your country not a gun ban problem.

In a civilized country having very strict gun laws actually work.

I have never understood how some areas can be so high crime that a white person walking late at night is 100% sure to get in trouble and the police can't do anything about it. The police can just have a white undercover agent walk at night and have a team stand by to arrest those that make trouble, rinse repeat until problem goes away. Perhaps I just don't understand the problem because I have never lived in a country with high crime.

You obviously don't run Firefox constantly open for months at a time. But that is my point if the browser can't handle addons without crashing and consuming all memory then that is something that should be addressed by at least having some tools in the browser to detect and/or fix the situation. One of the addons that I know that has some problems is the Flash Player plugin, but this plugin is basically required for browsing the web, so the Mozilla devs should work with Adobe to fix this situation or write their own integrated flash player. Just fix the damn browser please.
