Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought Adobe basically opened up the Flash API definitions, etc. Enabling anyone to port Flash to any device if they so choose.
If that's the case, why don't you get together with a few others and start building "OpenFlash" for Linux?
The budget is Congress' fault, not the President's. We tried to get a line-item veto that would have helped reduce budgets. It worked, just look at President Clinton. It gave him the power to cut a lot of crap out.
Sadly, the Supreme Court ruled it unconstitutional because it felt it moved budget control out of the hands of Congress to the Executive branch.
Congress likes to spend, regardless of party. Hence, our nation is doomed to bankruptcy.
I've tried to move to Linux about 4-5 times over the years. And every time there is significant driver issues. Even for many products that were mainstream and not super cutting edge just released 2-days ago hardware.
People keep saying "you need to choose your hardware carefully". Well, several years ago I switched to notebooks only. Hard to select your hardware. Furthermore, I don't want to have to select hardware, companies, etc. Just to run the OS. I even tried with my wife's Acer notebook. Turns out the same model has different hardware. We got the network card that wasn't compatible with Linux.
*shrugs*
Drivers, drivers, drivers....right now I feel that Linux is essentially a decent car but missing a steering wheel.
Neither does McCain or Ron Paul. But Ron Paul is smart enough to let people who know how it works, use it for him. And smart enough not to mess with it and just let it work how it works.;-)
So are us Republicans. We vote for these guys, and then they act like Democrats.
Then we go vote for a staunch small government man like Ron Paul and find our votes (at least in New Hampshire) did not get recorded for whatever reason.
No, AT&T is quite good at not providing stuff to read until after you sign.
Besides, who gives a crap about a contract. The U.S. law system is only for big powers.
And there is a significant difference between what is legal and what is moral. Right now, a lot of immoral stuff is legal. And a lot of moral stuff is illegal. Just look at how RIAA treats artists and consumers.
Like the Bush administration is going to want to place someone in a position that is an absolute raving Bush hater like many on here. Um no thanks...not good for productivity, and not good for office peace.
It's also why when each administration changes thousands find themselves looking for new jobs. When Obama comes on, rest assured he will not be hiring candidates that are conservative believe in fiscal responsiblity, reduced government, etc.
Funny, that's the exact same thing conservatives were saying regarding Clinton regarding his illegal wars, bombings on negative news days, illegal fund-raising and secrets traded to China, breach of U.S. citizens rights to fair trials, and more...
So really, sorry, I have to concur with the idea that the politicians (both in the White House and the Big House) are just corrupt, scoundrels almost all of a similar coin.
Don't sell any video games or consoles in NYC. Once the riots are launched, and half of the Bronx burns down to the ground. I am sure the NYC city council will reconsider their decision.

Note: I do have some sympathy regarding broadcast violence, sex, etc. Because it is a lot more challenging to control what's on a broadcast channel and few working people have the time to monitor every single episode of every show on TV.
Where as one is directly buying a video game. That is a significant difference. You have a choice to not buy that video game while buying others. With television, you're getting an entire package. I'd support NYC's decision if video game manufacturers included every game. But that's not the case here...
"Democrats and the Republicans are opposite points in a wide range of the political spectrum."
No, a large number of us both know that they are merely the same side of the coin and are all members of the G.P.P. "Greedy Political Party".
In truthfulness, most of the U.S. media is merely sensationalistic.
And of course, referencing news agencies in socialist states is a great example of demonstrating non-bias. You guys already moved far left. So of course you're going to be far left in your reporting.

Educated + moral = a society conquered by those who are not.
Educated + armed = a society that will force itself upon the masses.
Moral + armed = a society that will stand strong and courageous but never make progress forward.

I'll take Educated + Moral + Armed = a society that will stand strong but with kindness and advance the betterment of mankind.
I guess I should actually say "socialists" & left-leaners. Because Liberals is used in other countries the way we use Libertarians in America.

Or it'll be as useless to me as it's been.

Heck, there might even be some them there Re-puh-blee-kans on Slashdot as we speak...I mean type.
An educated moral and armed society.
Neither does McCain or Ron Paul. But Ron Paul is smart enough to let people who know how it works, use it for him. And smart enough not to mess with it and just let it work how it works. ;-)
Just to note, in this case, the 30% seem to contain more Democrats.

I believe on most male mammals, the balls are not far from the asshole. So it makes sense, there is a very thin line between the two.

Really, I think it's time we took these jerks to task. I am so sick of these corporations trampling our use.
You want to do this type of crap. Then give us the phone and the service free.
I pay good money for both my hardware and my media...so leave it the !@#$% alone Apple/AT&T.

The 9th Circuit Court is the most over-turned court. So if the 9th decided it, it will probably get overturned. ;)
Worked for "Lost In Space"

Human & Unbiased can not be said in the same sentence with a straight face without the word "not" preceding the unbiased.
Sorry, I'm actually a Halfling and not a troll.
*lol*
But I love how we can have liberals trolling their anti-conservative, anti-republican, anti-fox, anti-rush comments without rebuttle.
And please tell me what ABOUT the above is untrue?
As soon as I can get one of these free 'nix to ever work on one of my hardware boxes. I'll do that...
But I have yet to ever get Linux working smoothly on a box. And a few years I went laptop only. And that will only make it all the more unlikely.
I wouldn't mind if we were talking about brand spanking new products. But when they're 2 yrs old and still do not have driver support.
I am not surprised you can't get Flash or much else to work on such OS's.
*pulls out marshmallows*
If you're going to be flamed might as well roast a few marshmallows for enjoyment.
And I have yet to see a complex site using CSS that looks identically in IE, Firefox, & Safari.
And can use the same code (without browser specific conditionalization)
I always thought Geeks like complexity and fickleness because it ensured job security?
Hence their dislike for Flash - "works the same in all supported browsers".
And I've yet to see a Linux box that's as usable as OS X or XP.
*shrugs*
Oh, and much of Flash and Flex is or is being open-sourced.
