The F/A-18 is an aircraft carrier jet. That means it is mostly flown from a moving shifting runway platform. It is continuously exposed to moist highly corrosive salt air. The F-16 is exclusively land based and rarely exposed to the environmental conditions of the kind sea based naval aircraft are exposed to.
Granted, the Navy and I believe the National Guard both have land based F/A-18's. But I wager they've gone thru rotations at sea too.
The thing is nearly half a century old....it needs to be retired.
But we need a replacement. And we need to do it the same as the first one. A good solid design, without enormous costs.
Frankly though, I think the replacement should feature the following.
a) be built around the same cannon round.
b) maintain protective armor
c) incorporate vectored thrust/limited VTOL or slow flight options (akin to the quinjets) to enable the craft to focus it's cannon for prolonged engagement)
d) have a small storage compartment for supply drops. Not large, but it should allow the A-10 replacement to drop supplies to units on the ground ranging from medical supplies, ammo, ordinance weapons, etc.
The Model X needs to have a second version made available. Where everything is the same except that it is "Sans" the gull doors. It would be significantly cheaper and much more trouble free. I expect that it would take off sales wise.
Then eventually when demand drops. Drop the Gull Wing doors from the Model X. Don't discard them, rather migrate them to the new Roadster 2.0.
Americans don't like to work. We're trying to survive with rising costs, leaps in inflation of everyday goods.
And this only scrapes the surface, I wager Americans also spend a significant greater amount of time commuting to work than their western European counterparts.
I suspect, since we're saber rattling and threatening Russia over Hillary's DNC email cover up. That they have pretty much threatened Ecuador to hand over Assange or the U.S. will pretty much make hell for Ecuador.
I strongly suspect Assange will be in U.S. custody within the next two months.
Considering how many "hacker" sites in Russia are used internationally. It merely means the servers were hosted there. For all we know it could of been Republicans who paid to have hosted servers.

Except in many states, home schooling is not easily allowed. And in many states there are mandated school attendance or parents are charged and arrested.
That if vaccines are effective, and your child is immunized, than there really is no issue.

First of all, there was really no climatologist until recently. Go look at the degrees of MOST so-called climate experts. Guess what.....
Most are physicists, marine scientists, geologists, botanists, meteorologists.
