Nissan Versa 38HWY, 28CITY, average of my mostly highway100+ mile commute was around 35MPG. 92% of HWY rating.
Nissan Rogue 32HWY, 25CITY, average of the same commute, 24MPG. 75% of the HWY rating. Heck, it's only 96% of the CITY rating.
Frankly, I would of consider other vehicles if I knew the real world mileage would be that low. Also, Nissan reliability sucks. The EPA lets the car companies test and set, but doesn't hold them accountable. You can go to fueleconomy.gov and see that Nissan Rogue ratings by consumers average around 24MPG, which is far below the actual rating.
Well, rarely one is asked, did you provide 2 weeks notice. And if not, you can simply say because my prior employer immediately lets employees go when they give notice. So there was no lost work.
You print out a two copies of your notice. You sign it, you have them sign it. And you leave.
If they list your as terminated for abandoning. You sue them for slander and libel. And since you have a signed receipt of your notice to quit. They will be in a fair bit of trouble. Because if they have told any other potential employers that you were terminated when you in fact quit. And you did not receive the job. You can claim that financial harm....and sue for that income.
Balogne....I work at one of the largest IT corporations in the world. If they let you go, and not for any fraud. You are told to gather your stuff and walked out the door.
That's what they used to do. Except, employers these days pretty much universally let you go if you give 2 weeks notice. It is the companies that are not being professional and creating this new deviance from the past norm.
Because 90% of the time, when an employee gives two weeks notice, they are sent home that very day. The result is often the loss of 2 weeks of income for the employee. Few employers offer any severance in such situations. So basically, the hostile nature of employers is teaching workers that it is against their interests to provide 2 weeks of notice.
Most of those 1.4 million with top secret clearances do not actually ever see top clearance material. It's just that they could potentially come across it. While, a select few, deal with it on a daily basis. The majority of whom are in DC or the military.
Translation, Hillary Clinton was guilty as !@#$, and incurred numerous negligent violations. However, seeing as she is likely to be our boss next year, and the fact we value having our jobs, we have decided to recommend that charges not be pursued.
1. I suspect the pay is not all that great, and extremely low for the type of work.1
2. The contract is for 2 months. This means that the unemployed person, will lose all unemployment benefits for a mere two month contract. It will take them nearly that long to get re-established on unemployment benefits. And, if at reduced pay, means that the unemployment benefits received will now in fact be lower.
So why would a company expect anyone to take a 2 month contract? You might get a contract worker to take it...but if you can't find that in an entire nation, with 5 mil unemployment. I suspect you are strongly trying to take advantage of said unemployment by offering a pittance wage.
"We uncovered an opportunity to improve the way we reward people for their contributions,"
We had this brilliant idea to STOP paying cost of living wage adjustments. Why bother, we can always hire H1B replacements at a meager $65K/year. Instead, we will give merit raises. Most all of these will go to mid-level management who usually impedes work rather than aids it. These are people we want to move up to low level executives.
Those who work hard, are merely doing what we hired them for. So we won't reward them. As they burn out, we will replace them with $65K-H1B employees.
It's not violating our national security, it would merely be violating a personal server. Remember....that's what we've been told.
Move along from the obvious...

For some reason, Salary now means that employers can demand you work without pay. But you're not allowed to adjust your hours at all.
It's a one-sided law/policy that offers ZERO benefit to workers now.
Few managers do their jobs right.
It's because we witness it the majority of the time.
Very few

Clearly we can tell who are CEOs and who are not.
A CEO gets fired, and they get 5 years salary, even if they only worked for a single year.
They don't care if they burn out, destroy moral, etc. They'll just import more H1B Visas.
Some give severance when they lay off workers. Very few give any when you quit. Give your two weeks notice, you'll be out the door that same day.
And that is for 90% of businesses today.

Really, maybe cause most of the time this is handled by the UCMJ. And you don't hear much about those cases.
You mean, 20 years of being guilty, of being impeached, of committing crimes and not serving time....
Ya...and you want to elect that again.
Yay, for !@#$ for brainz!!!

We want a highly experienced professional with multiple backgrounds in Agile for 2 months.
Translation, we want you to come and train us for two months and then we will let you go after you teach us your knowledge. Who'd take that????/
Sure they hire a few,....
But in 2008, McDonald's hired 50,000 workers.....they had 500,000 apply.
Jobs just don't exist...
We write that 20 line shell script that saves the companies millions. They give the CEO a $2 million bonus and fire us.
