Rudy will not win because of his stance on abortion and gun control. The only 3 that have a chance are Paul, Huckabee, and Thompson. Of those 3 Paul is the only one dedicated to getting us out of Iraq, thus he is the only one who can beat Hitlary in the general election. If Paul doesn't get the nomination, its Hillary time ugh
Yeah... the government has the telco industry in bed with it. This is because the telco industry lobbies the government to regulate telcos. Big government is bad for the market and big business LIKES big government because big government can regulate and legislate in favor of big government thus stifling the competition.
The only person who has promised to do anything about this is Dr. Ron Paul who is running for President. If you want to stop this nonsense, I suggest you Google Ron Paul.
"he state is theoretically accountable to the people, while businesses are theoretically accountable only to their shareholders and the law."
Absolutely incorrect. In the free market (without government intervention) the merchants are accountable to their customers as well. This means, if they don't make their customers happy, then their customers will migrate to their competition. This is the concept that liberals/socialists/communists etc seem to forget is that competition is always a good thing for the People.
The recent and tragic bridge collapse in Minnesota raises many questions in Americans' minds about our aging infrastructure, and what is being done to maintain it. Questions such as: "Was I-35 an isolated accident or are we approaching days when crumbling bridges and bursting pipes will be regular features on the evening news?"
The poor ratings on the inspection report of that bridge, and similar deficiency findings on as many as 25% of our bridges suggests the latter. Estimates on what it will cost to bring deficiencies in our infrastructure back up to par range from massive to astronomical.
Billions of tax dollars at all levels of government are devoted to infrastructure, but one problem is that politicians love to cut ribbons. Political capital is gained not from maintaining or repairing our systems, but from building new bridges, new stadiums, and new roads, often of questionable real utility. Seldom is there a ceremony or photo opportunity for repairing or maintaining something already in place.
As the so-called Highway Trust Fund is set to go bankrupt as early as 2009, private investment firms are gearing up for partnerships, which could be a positive step, if handled sensibly. What we need to avoid are items such as the Trans Texas Corridor (TTC), which is phase 1 of the NAFTA Super Highway . The Spanish firm Cintra is set to take over toll collections after the TTC's completion, however it is unclear that they'll have any obligations for maintenance. The cost is being socialized, while the profit is privatized, effectively making the American people pay for it twice.
Ron Paul would not be in bed with the telcos and would minimize governmental intrusion into our lives. Check his record, see who funds him (here is a hint - $99.97 of his donations are from individuals)
Obviously you have never heard of Jury Nullification. You should research it.
Yes, because the arrival times of modern airlines are "realistic" HA
Apparently the court was wrong.
Ron Paul will win it!
It's real simple: statutory damages vs actual damages.
The law (statue) says that damages can be up to like $150k per infringement. Thank Congress for writing bad law.
Except that federal reserve notes are illegal because the federal reserve is unconstitutional
Yes, we should get rid of Social Security all together.
HILARIOUS
Ron Paul said it himself when he mentioned that the US government should be investigated from the outside in.

DNC List is unconstitutional
Yep - that's right.
No where in the Constitution is the federal government allowed to regulate advertisements and marketing activities.
Can I guess who you are going to vote for? ;-)

Aging Infrastructure

CDs have a dynamic range of 96dB. DVDs have a dynamic range of 144dB. That's a difference of 48dB!!!
CDs are 16 bits. DVDs are 24 bits (some are 20 I think). The formula is x*6 = dynamic range in dB where x=# of bits.
