That would be a good movie. Trump starts out friends with Hillary with the plan to drop out but learns he actually has a chance at winning and then turns on her. Would be a comedy for sure.

Would be a good idea for a plot of a movie. They wouldn't even have to use Trump/Hillary- although characters with their personalities could make it funnier.

He also had Russian hookers pee on him- he probably pops antibiotics like some people take fish oil capsules each morning. Disease never gets a chance to set in because he has a daily regimen of Amoxicillin.

Gates himself has strenuously denied making the comment. In a newspaper column that he wrote in the mid-1990s, Gates responded to a student's question about the quote: "I've said some stupid things and some wrong things, but not that. No one involved in computers would ever say that a certain amount of memory is enough for all time." Later in the column, he added, "I keep bumping into that silly quotation attributed to me that says 640K of memory is enough. There's never a citation; the quotation just floats like a rumor, repeated again and again."

    3 possible scenarios.

    1) He really did say it.
    2) Someone else said it, and incorrectly attributed it to Gates.
    3) Gates did say it, doesn't remember because it was a minor comment in another conversation and the quote is taken out of context.

It's possible that option 1 is real and Gates doesn't remember saying it. It seems ridiculous now, but maybe didn't when he said it.

Not to mention that convictions for more minor crimes typically drop off a person's record after 5-10 years. They're actually concerned about rehabilitation, not pure vengeance.

... and that's why the US has a much higher re-offense rate. EU rehabilitates, the US punishes and tries to ruin the life of anyone who ever committed a crime; regardless of whether it hurts us all as a result. Our criminal system is designed to cut off the nose to spite the face.

More like 5k for each sensor. Check out Sea-Bird - they make the gold standard for many types of oceanographic sensors. They are very expensive and very good.

With traditional oceanographic measurements, the most expensive part of acquiring data is physically going to the location from where you want to acquire the measurement. The cost of the sensors is nothing in comparison. As a result, you have expensive, high quality sensors being the norm. With these autonomous boats there might be a push to reduce sensor costs because the sensors will make up a greater percentage of the total cost. Time will tell...

Why even bother engineering? Just grab a couple different strains of extremophile bacteria from terrestrial locations with conditions that mirror what would be expected on Europa. One of those strains-or given how fast bacteria can replicate, one of it's offshoots-could have a decent shot at taking hold there.

I'm not sure if there are any, even extremophile bacteria that can survive Europa's chemistry; I'm not even sure (besides cold) what they would face, or from what they would "feed". If there are some that can find an energy source, and survive Europa, sure, use existing bacteria. I'm just not sure if any existing organisms could.
