But everything can be defeted by just a (black) marker for.10cents. It does not have to be black, but who would choose Intel blue?
Just a small calculation: If they loose $177m in three month and they want to spend $2b for subsidicing the xbox, the money lasts for 2.8 years. This is half the five years it should last.
Watching that nice movie, I can not help me, but find, that the wheels are turning into the _wrong_ direction on the land.

Second, by simply changin the information to bogus stuff, they keep you in their database. And then can advertise their service as having millions of users and getting with that a marketshare, which they surely should not get.

The change to common technology is, that the data can be edited by the user being offline. As a result the user is aware of the data and is accepting this technology. A safe transfer through the net is of course garanteed.
