  1. Re:*ponder* on LUG Pres Resigns Over Military Linux Use · · Score: 0

As with many things in live, it always depends.

Water, etc are mainly helping people to survive. An atomic warhead never helps somebody to survive, it is meant sorely for killling.

It is good to discuss on wether or not Linux is still more helping humanity or whether not.

Staying calm and not saying anything only helps those who started the war. Making your opinion heard helps people to realize, that G W Bush does not have the support of the entire planet.

    This it exactly!

As other companies (Cactus) tried before, the system works like this.

    1. Put some TOC(Table of Contence) at the beginning pointing to the DATA. (being done for the PCs).

    2. Then the first tracks have to be normal Audio. This you have to do, otherwise, even the boombox can not play it back.

    3. Put your fav. DRM with the encoded stuff on it. This won't be read by your boombox, but by the PC. Here you can of course add all the stuff you like, with confidential data/numbers, etc.

But everything can be defeted by just a (black) marker for .10cents. It does not have to be black, but who would choose Intel blue?

    Just a small calculation:

    Just a small calculation.

Watching that nice movie, I can not help me, but find, that the wheels are turning into the _wrong_ direction on the land.

Second thing: Those front wheels flap. I guess it will be really hard to realize that. You see it in almost any comic strip, but this wants to be more than vaporware. And for _stability_ reasons, this will really cause problems.

How can you be sure, that the whells do not flip on land, causeing the thing to be not manouverable.

But other than that, I think it is better than the BATmobil

  13. Re:What were the articles about? on Deutsche Bahn to Sue Google · · Score: 1

I read a few articles about it and it basicly is as follows.

In Germany there is some resistment against nuclear energy. The goverment is not moving as fast as some groups may like, to abandon nuclear energy. This left wing radical groups try to block the movement of the waste leaving the power plants to their destination. This movement is in 99% done with the railroad. So now the task is to block the railroad. And for that this 'newspaper' was written an artikel of how to change the signals etc.

This newspaper was hosted by XS4ALL and now moved.
There has been a ruling to take down the sides from a dutch judge. And it was taken down. All the leftovers (links to the side) are now on target.

I found the orginal text "KLEINER LEITFADEN ZUR BEHINDERUNG VON BAHNTRANSPORTEN ALLER ART" [Small introduction to hindering any transportation by railway] today with no problem.

The information once in the internet can hardly be removed. It is almost imposible. As seen here.

"The government's settlement would prevent Microsoft from retaliating against partners for using non-Microsoft products, require the company to disclose some of its software blueprints so software developers can make compatible products and make it easier to remove extra Windows features. "

What a great day - CNN is now owned by MS.

  17. Patent: SPEEDING on Enter The 'Stupid Patent Tricks' Contest · · Score: 1

Speeding is in the society something that is desired. Yet since it is (more or less) unlegal, it has something, that gives it the taste of being different and FREE. (Being Free is the theme of these days.)

On the other hand everything has to go faster today. The world turns faster than years before.

As a result of the above Speeding is positive.

In the patent described here, speeding points the way to increase the speed of surfing, by using stored data. These data are stored on the computer of the person, surfing through the web. When reaching a point were personal data is required, it can use the file stored on his/her harddisk.

The change to common technology is, that the data can be edited by the user being offline. As a result the user is aware of the data and is accepting this technology. A safe transfer through the net is of course garanteed.

(Sending Cookies in a more readable and changable way)

SPEEDING is great !!! (OR NOT ??)
