In the worst case, courts are directly managed by governments.

    I don't think so.

  3. That may not be enough on Forget Apple: Samsung Could Be Google's Next Big Rival · · Score: 1

In order to be a Google competitor you have to differentiate away from it.
In my opinion TouchWiz and a few Samsung online services atop of Andoid are not enough.
    Google controls the Android ecosystem.
Making real hardware also it is not, partly because Google is expected to deliver some in the near future.
Different/better hardware and different OS (like FirefoxOS) with different GUI could help. Let's see what happens.

  5. What we'd really need on Fedora Project Developer Proposes Layered, More Agile Design to Distribution · · Score: 3, Insightful

In order to get Linux growing is a similar thing.
A "ring0" with a very basic system on top of which all other distros are based.
This would avoid everyone re-inventing the warm water multiple times, while distros would focus on the other rings.
More or less the same as is seen in FreeBSD with the "GIU"derivatives.
A controlled ring0 would focus on keeping the system up and running at the very best with a centralized repo for everyone.
But you may say i am a dreamer ...

  13. Latency can have a number of reasons on Ask Slashdot: Low-Latency PS2/USB Gaming Keyboards? · · Score: 3, Interesting

Mechanical-to-electronic interface is just one. The one you think it's to blame.
Then you have the system interface (the USB and the PS/2).
Then you have the full OS stack with its drivers, event listeners etc.
Then you have the browser technologies (like Javascript stuff) which could react differently to different input classes.
    And finally the network latency.
All of them at the same time.
Maybe you are right in blaming the device, but I wouldn't bet a penny on it.

First of all, the fact that the application is for mobile devices it doesn't say anything.
Is the application you are mentioning runnint into the mobile device? Or is it a web application for mobile devices?
In the former case, I think you need to stick with the device architecture constraints, like ObjectiveC for Apple mobile stuff.
In the latter case, the choices is up to the developer team and what they know better.
I would personally choose C++ with Wt. But that's just me.

So, please, explain better your problem.

In a real world system, nothing stands still and everything is in flux.
Unless you can finely account for every single CPU instruction and hardware activity to the browsing, then it's unlikely your "test with and without" will yield anything relevant.
Even if you reboot the system after every single test you won't be able to get the very same "execution environment".
And this is why I am asking: there seems to be not enough information on how the test has been conducted and measured.
To me it smells like crap. I could be wrong, but the smell is awful.
