    My favorite is to use SSH remote port forwarding (-R) to allow my machines to connect back home from an unknown (and possibly changing) IP and then allow me to ssh back to them. And key authentication all the way along!
    And, by the way, SSH tunneling is not TCP port forwarding!

    I think it's time to think about repository for strategic software, like Linux, GCC and so on.
    Such a hacking can compromise a large part of the internet. Because someone can introduce backdoors, the nasty ones I mean, so deep to evade any check.

    The new do-not-track button isn't going to stop all Web tracking. The companies have agreed to stop using the data about people's Web browsing habits to customize ads, and have agreed not to use the data for employment, credit, health-care or insurance purposes.
