    You cannot.
    Like FTP is something buried deep into the story of internet.
    You should not.
    It works. If it works, you ain't fix it.
    You can modernize SMTP , though.
    For example, if the client is online during the delivery attempt you can/should deliver straight to it.
    If not, to the mailbox.

    I mean, I have this "uBlock" thing that's working fine with Chome and Firefox.
    They have both basic blocking *and* custom blocking.
    And they also block Google ads which chrome won't be blocking.
    How is supposed the Chrome builtin blocker to be any better that a more general solution?

    While I can understand some approximation error, the math should still stand unharmed!

    True. But it is also 2.559 tons, and 2.866 tons, and 2.388 tons, and probably some other values as well. Welcome to the joys of the imperial measurement system.

    Also true.
    What I expect as a dumb person, is precision. We (I'm European) have just 1 ton(ne) = 1,000 Kg.
    On the other side there are short tons and long tons and specifying which one is intended is perceived as a measure of precision.

    This is the same craze that lead to that poor space probe known as "Mars Climate Orbiter" to get lost.

    Microbes + plants + animals + sun creates food for humans (and for themselves) from dirt.

    This is a set of well established processes we haven't fully understood. This is why we are trying to destroy them.
    So "just microbes" is less effective.

    If only that microcode was documented then we'd probably have "aftermarket" microcode with fewer bugs and more features or performance.
    But, yes, that'd require very specific skills about the secretive micro-architecture!

    After all I think most of intel cpus run Linux.

    Maybe that would be a way to force Intel to rework the patch the right way. And maybe to design CPUs properly.

    You are right, Linus, as usual.

    But I'd prefer the Linux Kernel Development team to push a complete proposal on the table.
    Like totally ditching the support to Intels starting with the releases on next March 1st (or better April?).

    There's none, IMHO, as we define someone as being dumb based upon his actions.
    Once the actions are those of a dumb person, that one is a dumb person.
