AA batteries, AAA batteries are just fine as a backup option. Amateur radio equipment leaves this open. As well as rechargeable. Hell, i have rechargeable AA energizers. Stop changing shit for the sake of it. If you want a glass iPhone 8 the thickness of a cracker, ok cool. I don't though.... i have both a Bluetooth sound system and an 8 track player. Knock it off
Back in the day only 8 track tapes would support this technology, which in fact was cool. But.. No stores really sold quadrophonic (4 speaker true separate channels) regularly. Most were promos. It was a weird time.. "It was a commercial failure due to many technical problems and format incompatibilities. Quadraphonic audio formats were more expensive to produce than standard two-channel stereo."(wikipedia) *sigh* History repeats itself.
I recall in college, my ADA textbook mentioned that it was the only language who's only and first compiler was written in ADA itself. How in the Hell? There had to be something in at least assembler to start off small, right? Just to plant a seed for gosh sake...
How about dangling a miniature black hole from a stick in front of your ship? Light can't escape it!! (disclaimer: Don't let the rope break while flying)
I agree. Software power switches monitor for activity continuously and therefore use power. It's even good to remove the battery when not in use for long periods.
And apparently, no one on here has severe lightning storms. Ive been through some nearly p*ssing myself. Strikes in the yard just feet away. I want everything unplugged and when it's unplugged, not to waste the battery. Or at least not affect it's tolerance. I'm a ham radio operator and batteries and power is a huge concern. Secondary to only antennas maybe... everything should be "shutoffable!" Lol
I made a word I think;)
Not just the => stuff. And I haven't compiled Ada in twenty years but when looking at Wikipedia for dart examples I just got that feeling. Also Ada is a strongly typed language. Dart seems to have type options.... ??? Need to study further.
There was a very interesting board game called "Fortress America." The design was such that invading forces could care less about our states' boundaries, but only geographical features. Boardgamegeek has some photos. I still have this game.

What?! Please don't wish for that... If the masses don't want keyboards, fine. Or to look cool... fine. But try coding c++ without one. Should I stockpile keyboards for the zombie apocalypse?;-)
The "GUI" for musicians using harpsichords, pianos, and now highly technical synthesizers has not changed in hundreds of years. Reason is people like the black and white keys. I will always have a keyboard and mouse handy. guess I'm old
When else are we going to get a chance at terra forming a planet that may be possible as practice? We might need that knowledge. Hell I'd go witha group for free. Just have enough members of the opposite sex for everyone (or whatever...) and keep the booze flowing.
Not to mention just cool to even try?
If anyone is familiar with Serenity/Firefly you should know what a "crybaby" is. The probes that scatter and transmit false beacons and allow at least a chance to escape.... How hard would it be to create a device that generates hundreds of different WIFI MAC attempts continuously? Just walk around while that thing is singing from your pocket.... Freedom through obscurity.... lol
I used to be MS all the way, but the phrase you used brings chills. I am a so sick of Microsoft's attitude that things need to be "fully certified by Microsoft," including programmers. I am a great software engineer and have always refused MS certification. And now I will refuse it for my hardware.
Good post btw.

However, and it's been a long time, but one frustrating thing about Ada was the compiled library or procedures and such. It never seemed portable
Yeah, Ada has always seemed "strongly typed" to me, but customizable. AND I loved := it. lol

Working in porn is not against the law... at least in many states. so why?
Nikola Tesla call your office. lol
Reminds me precisely of this toy I messed with as a kid. 1970's. remember Micronauts Rocket Tubes? http://2warpstoneptune.files.wordpress.com/2012/12/micronauts-rocket-tubes.jpg

I hope not. I'd like a copy. Wasn't that going to be in commandments 10-15? Got broken or something ...
