I didn't realize this was suggested already, if it has maybe we should just keep doing it until a few editors get the message. It's not so much the ./ of the websites I care about, as websites usually recover quite quicly from that, it's more the fact that half of the stuff we don't even get to see because it was taken out after the ./ effect. If you are delivering a story one would think you'ld make the most effort possible so that ALL people can read it no?

Can someone who managed to dl'ed the movie maybe share it using bittorrent ?
Would be helpful if in the future editors who post stories that link to sites with lotsa eyecandy make a wget copy (or something similar) of the site *before* they post their story. Then when posting they would just add the bittorrent link at the end and everbody is happy :) ...

"Like I said, I can't understand the text messaging phenomenon, since when I want to talk to someone it's a lot easier to just call them than to poke around on my keypad to compose a message, though I must admit that I'm impressed with the magic of T9."

erhm, T9 has been around now for how many years ? I even had it on my crappy nokia phone 4 years ago. I don't really see the point of getting all that excited about it, let alone mention it in a review about "3G (but he really means 2.5G) network usage"

Here in the "EU countries" we use winter tires from december through to march. They don't cost a zillion bucks and are more reliable than a weather forecast.

Also, I wonder how many people get killed every year while trying to read a small font weather forecast from their GPS LCD.

the fact that this thing is firmware-updateable makes it extra cool (and warrants it a lifespan of longer than 1y). It does all the common formats + divX , yay !! Now if only someone could tell me why they named this thing "Kiss" ...

good point .. but then my question changes to : how does a tree lizard with "arm" wings and "leg" wings climb around comfortably ? It probably didn't, so evolution dropped them. But that raises the interesting question : why did evolution create such a thing ? Where these just plain birds originally, some with an inclination to stay in trees longer than others ?

  9. how does this thing walk around ? on 4-Winged Dinosaur Fossil Found · · Score: 4, Insightful

I can understand the microraptor would've folded his front wings onto its chest or something , like normal birds do when they aren't flying. But if your feet act as wings as well then it cannot be comfortable walking around with those. What if they get muddy or wet ?
There are birdspecies nowadays with feathered legs and the feathers on them look all battered, muddy and broken, definitely unsuitable to fly around with.

  10. don't we have such a device already ? on Assorted CES Gizmos · · Score: 2, Interesting
"The new gizmo gives users personalized, up-to-the-minute information such as stock quotes, sports scores, local weather, news headlines, horoscopes, calendar info, and even one-way instant messages -- all on their wrist. "

So exactly how does this differ from a full powered 3G_UMTS_imode_etc phone ? They offer all that AND phonecalls, so I would give this a big ZERO for innovation.
My guess is that MS Research has been watching too many "Inspector Gadget" reruns.

If suse, caldera, conectiva and openlinux can put aside their own goals for the sake of profitability errhm standardisation then Redhat should be willing to make this step as well.
