I think you've got part it correct. Al Gore makes climate change believes look like jackasses in the country, where people actually have animals, plant trees, grow crops, and don't live in a concrete boxes next to other concrete boxes.

Do you know how many deer run around in the woods? If we weren't here in the county and didn't have a hunting season they would be overtaking the country side. Al Gore is preaching death and doom, while owning multiple houses, beach front property, and having his limo driver keep the engine running for 45 minutes at a time. It's understandable why many people feel like Global Warming is a hoax.
Around here, its a known fact that if you put rabbits in cages in your green house your plants will do better. Plants generally like more CO2, and grow larger. Try having someone who's never even had a garden tell you that. Doesn't work too well to tell them otherwise.
Then you've got articles about global warming on mars...etc. Hackers in the news showing the numbers were fudged.. The list of arguments goes on and on.
I wouldn't say your scenarios describes all cases just like grouping all global warming people into one group, but I believe your correct about Al Gore and a percentage of them.
The ridiculous title of the movement being 'climate change' doesn't help either, I'm pretty sure there was climate change before the industrial revolution. So there's those people that point that out all the time too.
In the country your treated like an idiot if you believe in climate change, so its probably the total opposite to what your used to. It's not 'cool' to believe in climate change here.

I think we need to make the people are are lawmakers know the industry they are trying to regulate. The biggest problem is people that talk a good talk, without knowing how to 'work the trenches'. Confidence plus ignorance is always the worst combination for everyone.
The government taking money in 'fines' doesn't help secure data. The government will just squander the money. Audits yes. Repaying customers yes. Forcing them to be audited by an outside people chosen company yes. We would want the company to put a huge amount of money into the security rather than getting no return by the government adding it to their own coffers. Let's not loose site of the goal.
We need an on-line voting system for many of these new laws, our politicians feel like their here to serve the big companies, and the banks. It's 2011.
Lets get everyone involved on the important issues and have them vote on-line. It's not going to be perfect, the people may get fooled for a while, but its going to be a lot better than someone tempting a senator with a couple million dollars that could cost the tax payer billions.
This would be an issue that everyone should vote on.

Vaccinations aren't a magic bullet that work every time and have no side effects. It's wrong that you group all vaccinations together like they do always work and they never harm. Do you even know whats in your vaccinations?
You get a natural immunity when you body gets over the flu, just stay home when your sick.
My mother worked as a nurse, and one of her best friends, was bedridden for three months after taking the flu shot. It's someone that I knew personally that had a violent reaction.
I can see getting vaccinated for really dangerous things, but for things like the flu, and whooping cough what's the point? Why risk it? If you get sick which only lasts a few days when your healthy. Just stay home when your sick. Problem solved. Natural immunity can last three years while, flu shots need to be renewed yearly- if they work at all.
Most people that claim to do their research about vaccinations, don't even have a clue whats in them. The 'cocktail' varies from manufacturer, and you could be getting some pig DNS, Thimerosal (mercury) , MRC-5 fetus tissue. Of course even the pig DNS goes under other name(s).
If you want that stuff in your bloodstream/brain go ahead.
