I read the whole thing. Yes really. There are a few points, although most of the could be turned around on the authors.
Are they really documenting fascism or are they simply doing what they accuse the government of doing: Raising fears to get control.
Some of the indicators that they are doing that is equating gay rights with sexism, a blaentant strech. Unless we are going to define homosexuality as a seperate set of sexs (and I am more than willing to entertain that) that is a strange arguement. Biology, a science, defines sex as related to reproductive functions, not who you want sex with.
Others are stealing elections with Dibold. Again, I am right there with getting rid of the damned things, give me a paper ballot any day.
Thinking the media is controlled by the government is also just blantently silly on the face of it. The New York times has published articles which are damaging to national security. Yet nothing happens to them legally.
This one was a gas:
12. There is no recognition of inherent personal rights. Only the government can grant "rights". Any "rights" granted by the government may be diminished or removed by it from any individual or group at any time without prior notice, explanation, or judicial review. Thus, there is no presumed freedom of speech, press, religion, or even belief, automatically accompanying citizenship. There are no inherent or presumed protections against any violations of personal liberty committed by law-enforcement or other government agencies.
Read the damn constitution.
11. All entertainment, music, art, and organized sport is controlled by the government.
Laughable. Go stand on the corner and do art, no one will stop you.Is government too much in our face on a lot of subejects? Yes, but that is the way it is unless you start electing Libertarians.
13. There is complete executive branch control of government policy and action. There is no independent judicial or legislative branch of government.
Again, RTFD.
14. There is only one political party, and no mass organizations of any kind other than those approved by the government are permitted.
America, for whatever reason, has always been a two party system from the start. Nothing new here.
7. All communications media are government-owned or otherwise government-controlled.
Really? I don't think so, has the government controlled your blog?
I could go on, but the few here show that the people you quoted are of an odd stipe and see oppression where there is none.
Maybe, but fascism is a good discription of what they, the Islamo-Fascist, want. A world wide totalitarian society with scrict information control, progroms, purges, and thought policing by a central Islamic government called the Caliphate.
Godwin aside, if it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck...
True, true. The PC crap has got to stop. It was "lying". Period. Kinda waiting for the "I am not a crook" and "You won't have Dunn to kick around anymore" speaches.
But then, I am still waiting for the AP and Reuters to call the terrorists "terrorists". Not insurgents, not resistance fighters, not even "opposition forces". No, when they target exclusively civilian targets with the intention of maximizing civilian deaths... they are terrorists.

and therfore every business must cater to their needs... right. Look, if you live in a place without modern conviences you can't expect modern conviences.
Look, those Mom and Pop stores went out of business because LOCALS decided to quit going there because the valued prices over local shops, not because Wal-Mart did some underhanded shop window breaking. So if that is the case, you are paying the price for the collective descion made by the city planners and your fellow townies, go blame them.
Wal-Mart is not REQUIRED to carry the products they don't want to sell, wiether it is profitable or not. If they stopped selling ammo or guns despite the profitablity of such things there would be people applauding the move because it fits their view of the world. Others would be happy if they insisted they only sold "Made in America".
The point is you think that some company is wrong because they don't do it your way and are not breaking the law in any way. Don't buy there and leave them alone, they have lots of people who do buy from them.
Walmart doesn't sell the after morning pill, Preven. They do sell normal pre conception birth control pills.
Don't know about you, but my HMO (HealthNet) lets you order Rx though the mail, often giving you 3 refills for the cost of 2 and ship it for free. Most of these sites give the same discount if you don't have perscription coverage.
They are currently selling it in any state with a law saying they have to and do not sue for relief from those laws. Illinios and Mass have such laws.
Torture, as well as degrading punishments such as amputation, flogging and stoning
Discrimination against women and girls
The persecution of political opponents, following last February's mass disqualification of opposition candidates in the run-up to parliamentary elections
Discrimination against minorities, including Christians, Jews, Sunni Muslims, and in particular followers of the Baha'i faith, including arbitrary arrest and detention.
Can we start being worried yet? Can we start telling them they can't do this yet? Or are these still wonderful people who should have A-bombs?

Upgraded to AMD 4400+ dual core and have seen only improvement in the stability of the system. While a process might lock up one CPU the other is still running and gives me access to TaskManager. A quick kill of the process fixes the issue.
Such events are rare, usually my fault when testing a threaded Perl script or a photo editing software that automatically balances photos/red eyes when unloading the camara.
WoW chuggs right along at 64 to 84 fps with a 6800GT and the only lag place is the flag room during massive WSG battles.
Then I suggest you start worrying about exactly WHO it is that will become our enemy.
I assure you, if you think Bush et all is bad, try some of the nations living under Shar'ia and Caliphate rule. You can walk around America with, say, the Anarchists Cookbook. Try walking around Saudi Arabia with a Bible (or the aforementioned Anarchists Cookbook for that matter) and see how it goes.
America you might get some dirty looks or hit on by an Emo girl, in Saudi Ariabia you get shortened.
1) You are right, I don't get the joke. Don't explain it, it is not funny if you have to explain it.
2) I guess I am a political geek as well as a tech geek, so the Colorado race is very interesting to me. Much more so than the races here in my native Calfornia where the "races" are a formality to pass the baton to the next D or R. BTW, we don't need guns as a standard practice, we have votes. Sometimes we need guns, but unless it is the citizens doing the escorting, I am not sure it is a very good idea.
True enough. I haven't bought a new game since I started playing MMORPGs 3 years or so ago. Before that, I was good for a new game every month or two, about 10 a year.
But WOW has held my attention more than any other game since Rome Total War with the orginal and then the Return to Rome mod for the game.

We are talking about servers, so we are not talking "most everyday business applications people use". That means 8 cores will be faster when the server is doing many thing in parallel, which unless you are a bad SA is what a server should be doing. The AMD HyperTransport is a decendent of the Alpha chip, which did scale nicely to 32 chips.
That said, there are some limitations. SUN nifty 32 core processor is a POS. About all it does well is web serving. They provide a profiler to determine the suitablity of a given program to run under Niagra. We have yet to find one other than Apache and we think it is because while it has 32 cores, it has one math co-processor.
Demogogs love this idea. The understand they only have to control California and New York and they can bend the entire country to their will.
Part of the protection of the Senate, part of the protection of the electoral college is the protection of the smaller population states. This sidesteps that protection.
"The Senate will no longer be of any concern to us. I have just received word that the Emperor has dissolved the council permanently. The last remnants of the Old Republic have been swept away."

But...
Let me remind you that the Islamic-Fascist's go one better: attempt to kill the author.

Most Canadians live on the southern boarder of Canada near the state of New York.
/ population/National/pop_dens_colour_e.pdf
http://geodepot.statcan.ca/Diss/Maps/ThematicMaps
thus it is only a few 10's of miles to the south to get to another country.
Me? I live in central California and it is about 900+ miles to the nearest boarder, so it is a major trip to get out of the US.
I however, have been out of the US many times, to the Pacific Rim, Canada and Mexico.
Knuth did.
AMD 3200+ single core running Pro XP64 just fine.

One of the hotly contested swing seats on congress is up for grabs in a fair race. Both sides see it as a referendum on policy.
See this article for more information CmdrTaco, then take my suggestion we rename a irrelevant website after him. Say... Colbertdot.org

Get it out of Ken Lay.
Maybe we should split California into 3 parts, Northern Mexico, California, and Baja Oregon.
Will that work for you?
I was unclear.
Check the populations and the votes, there are fewer people per electoral college vote in Oregon than California
Oregon = ~430000 per vote, 7 votes
California = ~660000 per vote. 55 votes
So Oregon has more weight in the EC than a straight population vote. See the protection now?
Disclaimer: I live in California
