Where you were trolled or not, judging software by your experience with it a year ago isn't a very good idea. A year can do a lot of a product's maturity.
I dislike IDEs in general, but as an IDE I didn't find Forte to be any worse than anything else I've tried. Emacs all the way:)
My question is, does the redesigned 17in CRT use the new Apple connector?
The answer is "Yes." The specs are here: http://www.apple.com/displays/asd17/ specs.html, but if you have trouble accessing the site (although it's gotten much better since this morning), here's a quote:

It's very altered, the graphics are custom... it does not use any graphics from aqua, it does not contain any mac logos etc; it's an original work - just inspired by the aqua GUI.
Were we looking at the same skin? If you compare apple's screenshot of the MacOS X desktop with the screenshot of the skin, the graphics are identical! Look at the "traffic light," the check box, etc. I think they pure and simple used the graphics from that screenshot. Just look at them side-by-side.
While I don't think Apple should waste their breath on these idiots, I think they have a right to. This is obviously a blatant copy of their work, especially considering that the real OS X is not even yet available! If this sort of thing is allowed to go on, manufacturers will be forced to keep their designs secret until the release, and we will be robbed of any sort of previews of upcoming stuff.

i'm almost positive a french guy flew on a russian craft once. unless they mean "send them there themselves," but that's not what that sentence is saying.
you're right, as far as facts of life go. however, i truly believe that to _really_ change the society's mind about the place of minorities and sub-cultures (such as hackers, queers, etc.), the members of those groups themselves need to become more tolerant and see themselves as part of the bigger picture. otherwise, we're just contributing to the problem, and i'm very sad to say that i'm beginning to view some things as a lost cause.
i apologize if the tone of my first post was a little inflammatory, but i hate to see people digging their own graves.
Of course, NOW I see the other comment about this. :)
Here's a reference though:

That's a good trick... The official "birthday" is May of 1995 -- how'd you get ahold of it more than a year beforehand?

Sun also has the whole book available on the web, along with updates and errata. Just follow the appropriate links from http://java.sun.com/products/jlf/guidelines.html.
