That's the exact reason why North Korea has extensive network of underground tunnels and bases. US can't really track those. It's also the reason why North Korea and Burma are (supposedly) trying to build nuclear weapons underground in the jungles. The best thing is, US can't really do anything without provoking Chinese.
So well played. I don't think the purpose was ever to cause destruction - it was to provoke US to make themselves look like asses. Just like you do when you want to get back to big stupid bullies who just use power.
The US way to write dates is stupid, indeed. Not that European is that much better either. Everyone should just use time format YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS, for example 2011-09-11 15:30. It makes the most sense, and drops the stupid am/pm stuff too.
It doesn't even need to be some kind of hacking. Most people use the same password for all services. It just needs one of those services with an abusive admin, or break-in into those, to get lots of passwords. Since iTunes is so popular, it should be easy to find lots of same user account information there. Also don't forget that there's also been numerous occasions when someone has leaked email, username and password lists to the internet as a result of some hack.
The judge would order you to decrypt the data, and you'd be obligated to oblige or be found in contempt of court and put in jail (the right to not incriminate yourself is only for criminal cases and this would be a civil case.)
According to what country's laws? Nowhere in the summary it says they're talking about US.
There's quite large annual fees on top of that, though. And he won't get those prices unless he is actually registered registrar directly at ICANN. If he's just reselling, then it's close to the actual prices (at least $6-7 per domain).
In addition, people like Michael Gilmour get away with paying only a few cents for each domain and then buy them in the thousands when people forget to renew or let them expire, hoping to sell them back with a hefty profit.
There's nothing wrong with domain name parking. If you have no current use for a domain you've paid, you park it. Also, you could use the domain for other purposes than just for web - like email, game servers etc. There's internet out of the web too, you know.
If it's streaming using HTTP, then there has to be vulnerability in the browser. It has nothing to do with the client side Flash, this is for Flash media servers. Furthermore, this doesn't bring the full Flash in to iDevices, only media streaming. Flash is a lot more than that. People seem to forget that every time. It's also one of the reasons why HTML5 video will never replace Flash completely.
And say what you want about Flash, but web would had been much more boring place the last 10 years if it wasn't for Flash. It also brought casual people to internet.
I usually tend to write positively about things and products on slashdot. The end result is that I will be called a shill, modded as troll or flamebait and soon I'll be posting at -1 which means I can just aswell make a new account. I've probably heard being called shill for over 40 companies here on slashdot, just because I said positive things about them.
It's not replacing humans, it just improves profit making for those who want to trade. It's only one part of stock exchanges. That's fine too - if you can come up with an advanced algorithm that nets you profit, sure use it. Everyone on slashdot would.

No, Verisign is the operator of both .com and .net TLD's. All registrars pay to Verisign and ICANN for .com and .net domains.
