I use my ipod for music, not photos, so I didn't want to get the photo IPOD and its likely more delicate screen. I record everything in Apple lossless, which gets me about 100 CDs on my 40GB ipod. I would love the larger drive. By the way, anyone else who records in lossless noticing occasional skips while they listen, presumably due to song size exceeding the 32 meg cache size?
I wonder about this financially. Who is paying for this access, if it is to be provided free, then the provider mustbe getting money somewhere, I wonder where from, pinko government commie taxes?
Are we still not willing to accept that there are not as mnay software options for this platform. With the great graphics they have, they still are below insignificance in the gaming market? All they have are the education & desktop pub, and a small number of fervent loyalists, same as it ever was.
Hmm your post implies the register is somehow bad, when in reality you're restating the previous riaa argument. By the way, although I do think cd prices are excesive, the alternative is the death of music, since sales of cds would generate very little revenue if everyone downloaded/burned theirt copy.
I neeed to agree here, bluetooth is just about irrelevant now. I see lots of people asking for it, but all the reasons I hear sound like things people should use laptops for. A pda is not a desktop replacement/office file editor/good game machine with that teeny screen.
hard to justify more than a few hundred in price, above that you're approaching laptop territory, where the screens actually are big enough to do the things people want to do on a pda.
would you like your children medium or well done??

How does someone who cheated on his wife and lied to a grand jury keep his job, as President of the United States, leader of the free world. Lieing to his wife and nation, it is unfrigginbelievable that he stayed on till end of term. wmds, moved or destroyed, there is mass evidence based on the powell presentation to the UN.
essentially free, r u on crack? The os is in the 250 buck range, then all the apps cost dough too. The other cashcow, MSOffice is several hundred dollars if you want the full deal.
If they could only make patching easier, so everytime a bind, sendmail, or other hack is discovered, one doesnt have to; cvsup the source tree rebuild the system rebuild the kernel boot single user install new kernel install new system components mergemaster reboot again.
This is a royal f***in pita, up2date looks sinfully easy compared to this.
Money spent on electricity, range, and diffivulty in finding recharging locations and planning distance trips almost require these cars to be owned by families with more than 1 car/driver who don't typically drive long distances.
Seems to me these problems of scale are quite common, I recently read Thomas Payne's "Common Sense", and what is being described here sounds an awful lot like the reasoning behind the necessity for representative government, as opposed to a true Democracy.
IU really wish this merger wouldve never happened. Amongst my reasons, aside from the media monopoly, is that the warner brothers stores were all closed.
To my surprise, I recently installed the related product, Phoenix and was greeted with an unusual behavior. After installing the java that it offered, a Sun, non IE, hopefully standards based implementation, I found that the tab key on iwon.com crosswords was a nogo, whereas with the non standards IE java, it worked as expected. I really loathe when non standards based stuff is supported in this way. Improvements are one thing, but this is Uncle Bill deviation for its own sake, yuk..

Anyone else see the problem with this?
Due to the above, I'd pass on auto update, but I also run windows update regularly, I'm sure many users do not.

With all the features some of you are looking for, why not get a small laptop and use your phone as a (gasp) phone.

At least in California, check out http://www.nocall.ag.ca.gov/
This has to be totally obvious doesn't it??

If you want all that stuff, how about a Linux based pda??
In college studying engineering, the 48 was such a powerful tool, I'm glad it still living via emulation, even though I have a for real 48.

Amongst a body of so many students, I cannot imagine this flying, given teacher concerns over research computers, ease of use, etc..

so now, you could be 72 miles from you provider and still get a 300kbps link, wonder how many providers are watching this.
