So it's a matter of time that a hardware will arrive that OS and applications will use that free Giga spaces. The good thing about it is your data and OS preference will be centralized. Weather you use internet cafe, pc in the office or school they are still there.
I tested the latest Netbeans and it improves a lot from the previous version. Better UI, more features, a lot plugins, faster, refactoring, JUnit wizard, JDK 5.0 compatibile and ANT based project system.
I believe there are more users, like me, are coming to Netbeans.
It's open source, most of the efforts are coming from the non-Sun developers.
These are lots of small busineses that do not have that much transactions. These companies are not willing to to buy a sophisticated db yet. So it would be nice that they will try it first.
They will have the db up to 5GB of data for free. I am sure they can upgrade when it's needed.

it's still cheap. the rate is the same as cable tv.
