    I recently toured the Minuteman ICBM facilities at Warren Air Force Base. The Launch Control Center still uses 8 inch floppy disks. The tour guide, who was a 20-something member of the 90th Missile Wing, didn't know the size of the floppy. He only knew that "they're not made anymore."

    That's a good point, but no reason to see if the boy's uninterested. In fact, I got my love of programming from my own father. The key is to know when to recognize there's no interest and to back off.

    I've had my Fire for 6 months and don't have any battery problems, including when WiFi is turned on. All day is not a problem, although I do not watch video with it. I'm guessing your battery doesn't hold a full charge anymore. Can you swap it out?

    I don't understand how it's only $300/month for you and your family. I pay $498/month for just myself, and that is an HMO, not even a PPO or a major medical plan. Did you get "emergency care" only? Do you live in some rural location (I'm in an urban area)?
