  1. Political Messages and Terrorist Threats on Raisethefist.com Raided · · Score: 1

So I read waht I could about his website through archives and I read what he wrote on one of the sites he hacked. All I have to say is this kid is asking for it.

It is one thing to be against the government for what they do and how they do it. Things change when you are making threats of war towards a New World Order. (Wasn't that an organization from WCW?) AKA, the government of the United States.

I for onw feel threatened about the tactics he posted on how to conduct a riot. I mean they are flat out violent. Mondavi? Cocktails and what not. Blowing up cars. Using chemical bombs. I have heard that sometimes you need to hit someone in the back of the head with a baseball bat to get their attention but when it comes to potential hurting and killing an individual to get your message across. Then you have gone to far.

Frankly, I am happy for the country I live in. I don't feel horribly hasseled, let alone oppressed. (Pretty sure I butchered that word but one can never tell)

I mean if the government really bothered him that much, one would think he would have moved to Mexico or Sweden. Not stay here where Big Brother is gonna get him.

This kid hacked and defaced websites. Crime. He admitted to it. (Real stupid on his behalf) He has had opinions which are essentially threats towards our government and country. Crime. He is rallying, or attempting to rally is what it seems like.... an army. Wanting to have ex-military join this UCA.

    Yeah, right.

How can you call your actions justice when innocents are threatened. How can you only get your message across with the defacement of websites. Run by innocents. It is the same as getting your message across by spray-painting my home with your message. Another innocent is threatened. Frankly I hope he gets both barrels. Right in the ass. Make him think twice before he sits down again and writes more anti-political liturature.

On a side note... just to vent. I don't understand anarchists. Where would we be without a government and laws. If we over throw it, then anything goes. It would be safe to say that if for example the UCA over-threw our government there would be no laws and no supposed Government oppression. So I could at random go kil someone for their car or vice versa someone kill me for my car and they could not be punished. Because of lack of government. This is what I don't understand, have they not looked that far into the future and forseen the results of such chaos. The country will fall and states will divide, if they even have the means of doing that. As far as I can see, anarchy is bad. Real bad. Because then you would have to go through the whole process of creating a new form of government. And we have seen how long that takes. Just my 2 cp.

BTW, I should have joined his group since I have vast alien technology knowledge. You know, tri-lithium crystals and biological feeback on Trillians. (ROFL!)

I would like to start with saying, Jon Katz obviously never attended college as an English major. I have never seen so many grammerical errors in my life. (Except in my own writings)

Okay so here are these guys saying Net Revolution, Jefferson, Freedom, Constitution, blah blah blah. What they have to realize is that in the Internet World as we know it, you have choices that don't exist in the real world.

The internet isn't the United States, sure some laws due fall into it, but it is an alternative universe. You can be totally anonymous. You can speak an opinion, you can ignore an opinion. YOu can block out an individual entirely or speak together as a community. That is the beauty of the machine. Here you are, connected to millions of people World Wide. If you speak your mind in a forum, thousands, literally thousands of people can read and get to respond with their opinion right back. They can ignore your post or agree with you. That is what makes this thing called the internet so beautiful. You make the rules in a system built on rules. (I know, nearly a Matrix quote)

Yes these rules can be bent broken or ammended and that is why people are addicted. That is why my mom at 57 years old checks her email and chats to my brother where previously she wrote on stationary and called over the phone racking up long-distance charges.

The internet is a revolution but not in the sense that Jon Katz means. It isn't a new country where democratic (totalitarian) leaders force their people to obey. The Net isn't going to redefine the class system as we know it. The net is a new means of communication. After all that was its original purpose, no? To send data back and forth across great distances instead of flying with the diskette in hand. It just evolved a few giant leaps further into the mess that it is today.

It will continue this evolution too. (until we can all communicate telepathically, then it will be used for Q3 Deathmatch) It isn't the internet revolution I would be concentrating on so hard. Granted it is just awe inspiring to fathom its intended greatness. I would concentrate on the technological revolution in general.

Back in 1997, the fastest computer a home user could buy was a 200MHz Pentium Pro. Four years later we are at 1500MHz. We have supercomputers contained within laptops and Series of computers that take up 1/20th the space of its later-day brothers but produce more clockcycles-per-second than the older boys did heat. Holographic drives are coming eventually as well as magnetic ram. YOu can walk around college campuses on a wireless VPN or use a friggin' web pad to check out stock. We have come along way, you must admit. What is weird is we haven't hit an impass yet. Moore's Theory (There is no such thing as a law) still holds true. (Eventually it will be broken, give it time)

I just think this whole idea that the internet is some massive City State is rediculous. It is no where near that point, yet. What we need to do as a whole is work together to make it perfect. Make it more human-centric. (A good philosophy by the way)

This helped literacy as well as trigger some serious deep thought in the age of enlightenment. Books dropped in price, hence afford-ability.

The internet isn't just information but a place where people can connect and talk and share as well as download the hottest new single buy Eminem and read various selections of Edgar Allen Poe at 2am when the library has long closed awhile ago. It isn't just a superset, if it was, it is an entirely different invention composed of millions. Given enough time it will touch billions.

Secondly, I never said everybody I said nearly everybody is connected. Don't put words in my mouth that I never said because that is how falsified facts occur. Don't be that guy, don't be that liar.

    Continuing...
You mean to tell me the American Revolution was a quick and violent change? I hardly think so. In fact I know so considering I studied about it for a whole friggin' year. What about the Russian Revolution... that took time. Most revolutions take time and with time the Computer Revolution will evolve into somthing great.

Now to clarify... I would put printing press number two to the internet sonsidering they are two separate technologies. Printed word reaches and touches people, it does not connect people to each other in the form that the internet does. Sure you can mail a letter through snail mail to connect to your long lost friend, that could take 24 hours to a week. Or you can send an email... 30 seconds maybe... or an Instant Chat session on Jabber or in an IRC Client.

The internet is the later and greater invention of the past thousand years in my opinion, that and I just love Coke cans. They are so small and all you do is flip the tab. Amazing!

    I disagree.

Yes I am a devote follower of God but I do not believe the printing press was the single best invention of the last 1000 years. I believe the internet to be. Heres why:

It not only spreads the written word but it spreads all information. Where else can you get an Anarchists handbook, music, news, applications, food, gifts, etc. All can be done locally from your home. Technically if one were so inclined. They would never have to leave their home.

Nearly everyone is connected. Given time the whole of the world will access the internet as if they were using a phone. Revolutions take time.

We can't expect for it all to be done in a matter of a decade or more. It takes time. Look how long it took to receive our freedom from the Brit's.
