BB 10 still has BES support but BB 10 has ended BIS support as the original need for it in developed countries (high mobile data costs and SLOW speeds) has mostly ceased to exist. BB has not ended support for BB OS 7 nor BIS since they still have a huge market for it in developing countries. They are releasing a new device in a few months that looks like a ruggedized BOLD.
BIS is an ISP for BlackBerry phones up to BB OS 7. Unlike iOS or Android BB OS 7 accesses the internet through BlackBerry NOT the carrier the phone is on. Since BlackBerry knows the device it is serving a web page to it also knows what content the phone can handle. As such when you request a web page on a BB the BIS only sends data the phone can process and it compresses the data as well. A web page that clocks in at 500K may only take 5K to transmit to a BB. So it's a little bit more than an email messaging service.
India currently does this on all mobile carriers. RIM/BlackBerry is a mobile carrier as well as a device manufacturer. RIM was the only carrier that resisted (that I am aware of) the monitoring of their network (BlackBerry Internet Services or BIS). The Indian government threatened to suspend their network altogether if they didn't capitulate. RIM agreed to discuss the matter further and have been in negotiations for the last 2 years. Since BB 10 doesn't even use BIS I suspect BlackBerry is just giving India what is is asking for. This does not in any way effect enterprise deployments using a BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) as the encryption keys are generated at the server and kept only by the enterprise.
Why wait? Plans for the XR3 (a strikingly similar vehicle) have been around for years and you can build it yourself. It basically uses a Kubota D902 diesel up front and an electric motor drives the rear wheel. The design even lets you forgo one or the other and go all diesel or all electric. But combined you get the 200+ MPG version.
Which is why I didn't site the 4 times number associated with the flawed study. However adjusted for actual violent crimes Britain still has nearly double the violent crimes rate.
You're a hilarious hypocrite. You didn't even look at my references, assumed I was a gun zealot (I don't own any guns), and hold to your pious position steadfastly.
Because its not like you couldn't call the police if people are doing unsafe things with guns. In a lot of places there are laws about the safe handling of weapons.
And I'm sure the police and those laws were a great comfort to all of those victims of gun violence and rampage shootings, and 100% effectively prevented any deaths.
Gun laws don't prevent gun violence as criminals are already breaking the law. However if one of the victims had been allowed to carry his weapon legally there might have been far fewer casualties.
There are already anti-wind crowds who claim they kill bats/birds and are altering wind patterns to deleterious effect. If it exists there are people who are against it.
As a long time patron of Tiger Direct I understand what you are referring to regarding their marketing but I have never had anything but excellent experiences with their web store. ( The more recent retail outlets are a different matter.) I have had a few defective parts over the years and I HATE dealing with returns but TD always made it as painless as possible for me and never questioned the return. I'd say all of the systems I have built have included at least one part sourced through them. It doesn't speak to Fiorentino's actions but more to the company overall. Their rebate scandal a few years back was unfortunate (I don't know any company who's rebate program isn't designed to make it hard to redeem) but I will continue to do business with them as long as they continue to be a good source. That doesn't mean I don't check Newegg and Monoprice before I proceed to checkout.
Or maybe there are just too many who THINK they know more than the sysadmin and who question his work as if they do know more than him.
I have people all the time request assistance to fix something only to be told by them I am doing it wrong once I start working on it. I suspect they just wanted to argue with somebody so they called IT.
Introvert...you keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Actually you aren't alone.
While I am uncomfortable in large gatherings I am an extrovert. Meaning I have opinions and I feel compelled to "share" them freely. An introvert may have no qualms with the size of a gathering but would rather keep their strong held beliefs private. I have also developed a fairly good ability to interact in an office environment but that doesn't mean I am not aloof, patronizing, and condescending. But I am only that way to nincompoops. Derive from that what you will warrigal.
We all know how that ends and it isn't pretty!

Nothing to see here...move along.
You didn't actually look at the site did you?

The rabid believer here is you!
Why does it have to be Binary?
That's so twentieth century.
We should be using a Hexadecimal format!
Britain has more violent crime per capita than the US despite enacting a no gun policy in 1997.
Yawn ... so you say.
Actually I postulated and backed my postulation up with actual evidence to support it.
Most governments don't want their citizens walking around armed.
FTFY
It's much harder to control your citizens if they can fight back.
And I'm sure the police and those laws were a great comfort to all of those victims of gun violence and rampage shootings, and 100% effectively prevented any deaths.

If you created a GUI so the NSA would be able to check the box to track US mobile phones, YOU ARE TO BLAME!
This would never have happened in a command line only country.
Now this furore is a little silly.
Hey! Word to the wise: about:config I doubt the feature is actually removed...
I assume that this is a UI change and that Mozilla is removing a button, that caused a greater cost to support, than justify with benefit.
Really, the advanced web user, who is judicious about enabling script, can opt for a plugin, if they want a button.
Not according to my button plugin of choice's author. He indicates it is a change in the API that will make his plugin inoperable.
Remember...one man's malfunction is Microsoft's feature.
If a next gen console does not allow standard BT/NFC device connections it should not get our money. Heck I can control my PS3 with my BlackBerry.
See! You simply must keep sharing your opinion. i.e. You're an extrovert.

Thank you for proving my point. You are most definitely not an introvert :)

The irony...it hurts.
Are you describing a disgruntled sysadmin or a prison guard?
Introvert...you keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

You're currently modded flaimbait but my first thought was let's do it now. Load up all politicians, attorneys, and used car salesmen and launch em!
