You make it seem like the majority of Groove Salad's listeners today are from Slashdot. You also say that the normal amount of listeners of Groove Salad is about 100.
Let me tell you that you have no idea what you are talking about. On a typical day, Groove Salad holds about 1600-2400 listeners during the work day, mainly from ppl listening at work. Groove Salad had about a normal of 100 listeners like more than a year and a half ago.
Sure, some ppl from slashdot tuned in, but i think more just surfed on the channel for a few minutes to get a hear, then tuned out.
Its all fun and games until someone cuts me open to steal my identity
and if cash transactions are done through this chip, someone will slice me open to steal my money instead of just mugging me. This ID chip thing sure sounds like a great plan.
When I was in germany you would see nazi symbols on all sorts of places. People would scrible them all over the subways and public walls. Most of the times someone else would just write "Nazis suck" or "Go away Nazis" over top of them.
I really think 99% of the people who drew the swastikas really dont buy into Nazism. They were just doing it because it is illegal to do and is looked down upon. Just normal rebellious teens I'd say. And teens in Germany can also get ahold of "Mein Kampf" even though it is illegal. People are curious wehn things are banned. This can go along with warez or music or whatever. When it becomes illegal and a challange, it becomes so much more interesting
which comes out to 41.66 MB / sec for the minimum transfer rate for the D-VHS to send uncompressed signal to the TV. I dont think any TV nowadays even gets the raw uncompressed video sent to it (maybe HDTV). Its more likely that the D-VHS unit will only send out a video signal in form of S video cable or something we can use on our abundent NTSC/PAL tvs...... that speed seems achievable with current hardware. Still, a tape drive as fast as my HD in linear mode seems interesting for data backup and retrieval..
first of all, that $99 genica mp3 cd player sucks because it is more buggy than win95 OSR1.... I should know because i bought one..... Im especially pissed becaue it wont play 256 bitrate mp3s (all my encoding is done in that format so i dont lose quality)
