There's no stopping it, EXCEPT by not giving them the data in the first place. They cannot abuse what they do not have.
Agreed... and while we may be smart/paranoid enough not to give the trackers what they want I know my friends and family are probably not that careful.
So the data is going to leak, simply demanding that it does not happen is less productive than Berners-Lee, at least (in some jurisdictions and services) users can follow TB-Ls advice and demand their (eg. facebook/gmail) data.
If there is a ground swell of demand for this kind of data it could at least prompt some restraint or rethinking by the trackers.
I'm not sure if AC is from Australia or not, but I feel compelled to apologize on their behalf as most of us are not aware of this. Even one of our greatest celebrities made the same mistake: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xWKyDGGptA4
What recently published video games without digital restrictions management would you say are "mak[ing] some significant headway"?
Lets start with the Humble Bundle(s) and Android games*. Haven't bought a boxed game since I had to return DOW2.
* Some android apps have limited DRM, but it does not stop me from backing-up/restoring/moving and they do not require internet connection to play single player.
I haven't considered before the enhanced trickle down effect of (real) people getting the money we pay for art rather than corporations. Could you imagine a studio paying out profits over and above what they expected to charities?

Ha. So can we just have the IP address of the attendants?
Have you tried http://www.youtube.com/editor_3d
It's quite basic, and requires dual video input.
I gave it a crack and got horrible results (mainly due to bad camera setup on my end and a lack of patience, oh and I didn't have the r/b glasses, did I mention that I wasn't trying very hard either).
With a decent dual camera setup you could probably produce them quite painlessly.
I got in early with android and I don't ever remember it not having one, nor do I remember a time when Eclipse/Android-tools did not provide a WYSIWYG editor.
There seem to be a few "issues" with Android development I don't remember.
Also I know my apps are relatively simple, but in only a couple of cases has "fragmentation" affected me and in most cases it was totally justified or the result of Android getting better over time (and in the case of detecting 0, 1 or 2 cameras as an example, I think iOS devs are in the same boat no?).
"Yast, which is really just their answer to Apple's App Store"... When I pick myself up from the floor I want to give this guy medal... best joke ever.
But seriously, I've always wondered why the repo model never caught on with Windows. I should have been careful what i wished for, I'm guessing the win8 store won't have a "source" switch.
After days of wrestling with Unity and random PPAs I finally have my panels back... and apart from the slower performance, fragmented/non-existing configurations and constant graphical glitches, I'm quite happy with it:P
KDE would have been so much easier, thanks for reminding me:) I bailed on KDE4, but it's looking pretty good now.
... chances are the platform knows how "far" you have gone and how "fast" you are going...
Without the gyro/motion data I fail to see how it could work out these things.
... also find it hard to believe that we can detect planets around stars which themselves are barely visible; or subatomic particles...
Couldn't have said it better myself.
Also if you find the above hard to believe then you're never going to believe this: http://gcn.com/articles/2011/10/18/smart-phone-sensors-steal-keystrokes.aspx.
... deserve to infect their friends and colleagues with nasty diseases? ...
It's malware, but it's _not_ a virus, so I don't know why you'd be concerned with friends and colleagues catching anything.
more internet. And dont bogart the bandwidth. The answer is to abstain. The reality is we are way too far down this addiction to stop.
I like your style but asking people to abstain from the greatest information resource humanity has ever created ... I can't get behind that.

I figure the only way to truly end SCO is to bury it at a crossroads.
Don't forget to drive a stake through the heart before you bury it :p

I *so* would have used this service if it existed :D
Thanks b4dc0d3r,
Now I know why i did all those stupid things :p

Wow... over 25% to charity.

Hey Tharsman, try: https://www.google.com/history/lookup?q=&output=rss&num=100 where you can replace "num=100" with "num=100000" or whatever... didn't test for upper limit, but I will later :D
(info from http://www.dataliberation.org.../ if this is a dictatorship, it could be worse)
Congratulations are in order, your on TPB: YOU'VE MADE IT.

Second that :)
I'm with ironjaw33 on the DIY solution, and I'm telling my manger you said they deserve to lose their data!

But can you actually talk into the mouse?"
It is an indirect reference, but a reference none the less. I'm afraid I'll have to ask you to please turn in your "Turn in your geek cards" card.
What happens if you say, "I'm horny!"?
I believe you're after row 4: http://shitthatsirisays.tumblr.com/ Looks like it knows what you're on about ;)
