    The Day the Earth Stood Still from 1951. I still remember it years after watching the movie for the first time - not something that I can say about most of the sci-fi movies that I watch these days. ;)

    the Luminous Keyboard II which I am quite happy with. I like my keyboard without any multimedia keys(play/stop/e-mail etc.) which I never use anyway.

    The flexibility this system provides is well worth the extra few minutes rather than installing *.deb or *.rpm files and entering dependency hell.
    It looks like the time for you to read the APT HOWTO.
    I have been using Debian for the last couple of years without having to specify any dependencies or using the deb tool at all.

    .. Can connect to Internet though a regular phone line or CDMA cellphone ..

    Which makes it pretty useless in Europe which uses GSM, I belive. Also, no bluetooth, infrared or wifi. In my humble opinion this is just another useless toy.

    I see. That must be why so many Romanians are such good English speakers. That must also be the reason for that so many of their countrymen pop in on IRC channels and want "a bnc for my root". They want the same excellent translation capability.

    Having strict coding guidelines can help, having lots of eyes looking at the code helps, but ninja vulnerabilities will still stealth through.

    I am sure that many people developing and using The Linux Test Project test suite would also help find more bugs.
    (Found by google after I began wondering if any automated test effort was taking place.)

    - crew excape modules, aka chinese or russian style capsules,

    They are really usefull when you are orbiting Mars or are halfway between Earth and the red planet.
