you may have heard "good fast cheap... pick 2" this is similar.
if your content is dynamic, you have more to worry about. DB servers, storage other application specific issues...
if your content is static or close to it, round robin DNS is plenty. rsync between 2 boxes, and set up the round robin. How far away the boxes are determines how long they take to sync and how much of a safety net it really is. next to each other in the same rack protects from HW fault. different datacenters protects from power and networking. Different states protects from natural disasters.
if you don't know how much to spend then.... you need to figure out how much money downtime (unexpected) costs you. Then you can figure out how much to spend to reduce your chance of tht downtime. If it's going to cost you $1000 per hour, and you expect that with 2 boxes in the same datacenter there might be a 1% chance of failure of both systems that would require 24h to come back up, then your total loss would be 24K, 1% of that is $240 to spend on mitigation. in that case, put your systems in different datacenters. If you're going to lose $100,000/hour, then spend 100x on mitigation.
refusing a lawful order of a police officer is a crime. Refusing the lawful order of a school safety officer (most places these are commissioned police officers) is also a crime.
to all you jackasses that are sure he's going to get caught, SHUT UP!!
They let him drive off of club fed and get to his house to change clothes before they got there. He's probably in Mexico by now. If I was a spam king and avoiding taxes you can bed I'd have a shitload of cash in offshore accounts.
He's out of the country, getting a bogus passport, and won't come back. Not that we'd know it if he did. As secure as our borders are. (don't get me started)
Unless my parents have thrown it out (I doubt it) I have one in the basement of their house. Haven't seen it (the atari or the ET cart) in years, but it used to be there.
There are other youth organizations similar to scouts. There was at one time BP Scouts (Baden Powell Scouts) though they were not widely spread. Find a local group. Help out. teach what you know.
the press release calls this a "respect copyrights patch". Not a merit badge. Not a merit patch. the word "merit" does not appear in the file at all. This is a local council produced patch.
If you know anythign about the way that the BSA operates, it is not a Christian organization (though it does have some religious beliefs at it's core). They do not gay-bash (though there is national policy agains openly gay adult leaders). They do not teach that being gay is wrong (except passively through the national policy that in all my years as an adult scouter has never come up). Whored out? Well this badge creation is kind of troublesome, and while some point out that pirating these materials is in fact illegal, there are other badges that teach scouts about obeying the law. This badge is kind of annoyingly excess.
and National is still about teaching boys outdoor skills and camping. There may be a few troops out there that are the bad apples (there's a few bad ones in any organization) as a whole, it's still a good program.
the navigational charts would list the locations of these elevators and pilots would know to avoid them. Much in the same way that pilots avoid radio towers, restricted military airspace and skydiving operations.
The base station at each elevator would have a communications office anyway. There would probably be someone on site to act as some sort of ATC though. The airspace around an elevator would likely be controlled or restricted in some manner.
so we should cast aside the electoral system because your candidate didn't win? Or should we run the election the way we've always run it. recounts and all. And yes, Bush won the electoral vote in 2000, and lost the popular vote. if you remember from elementary school (at least I learned it in 6th grade) that can happen with an electoral system.
don't like the electoral system? I didn't see anyone trying to reform it or get rid of it 2 or 6 years ago. Get off your ass and do something about it.
Why bother to carry anything on as you're obviously checking luggage with your firearm in it. What? You're not taking your sidearm with you when you travel? So you only defend yourself when you travel by private vehicle?
All sacasm aside... If you have a CHL in several states, I assume you're taking your gun with you when you travel. Check all your bags. The random search of your bag with your book and reading glasses won't take long. If you're not taking youre gun with you when you travel, then just vote with the gun control lobby next election. If you don't exercise the rights you've taken the trouble to secure, what's the point?
Not to mention showing the CHL at the counter (not that you're required to) should avoid the profiling with a clueful gate agent. I always use my CHL as my form of ID, and I've never been randomly selected. (whether I'm flying with my weapon or not.)
It feels a lot like RAH. The same style, and banter between characters, but with a slight flavor of something else. Having never read Spider Robinson, I'm assuming that flavor is him.
lots of observation is a good start. The part that is greatly different is the actual participation in the act of raising a child. It's good that you're learning about these things through observation. Try volunteering with some youth groups. It's a start into the participation without becoming a breeder. Once you've invested yourself in a child, your perspective changes. Your opinion may or may not change (you inferred incorrectly from the perspective statement) but your perspective certainly will.
I'm not implying that volunteering with youth is the same as being a parent, but it will let you have a different perspective. I was a Boy Scout leader for 4 years and saw and helped boys turn into young men. I played a miniscule part in their lives compared to their parents and teachers, but I was there and made a difference.

charge her.
it's not that hard.
oh... well if you saw it in a movie it must be true.

they shouldn't be obsolete. They're way too cool.
everything uses DC internally. Some hardware allows for DC inputs. using DC across the board would greatly reduce cooling costs.
If only the movie had accurately described the Heinlein's ideal society before it began satirizing it.
The movie was entertaining, the book, which was a completely different story, was excellent.

http://www.boyscoutsla.org/website/contact_us.htm is a list of people to call and/or email your complaints to about this patch.
there are 3.
Citizenship in the Community
Citizenship in the Nation
Citizenship in the World
or perhaps you should be a scoutmaster to show your kids and others what fun you used to have in scouts.
the BSA is not an arm of the Mormon church. Scouting is very much a part of a mormon boy's life, but that doesn't work the other way around.
In our district, the numbers come out to 1 in 4 scouting age boys is a scout.
You're referring to National BSA policy. There is no homophobia badge or anti-gay curriculum tought by the BSA.

you just want that moderator to share the crack he's smoking

Both Clinton and Bush should have been impeached.
um... clinton was impeached. The hearing just came out his way.

in texas I meant to say.
Move to a different state. Someone can't file a civil suit over something that happened when they were in the act of comitting a crime.

So far I like it. I'll be buying it.

you're awfully defensive... having problems beliving your own argument?
Back to the point by point rebuttals... what about the point by point on how your perspective changes as you raise a child?
what? there isn't one?
